Elisabeth Hasselbeck annoys me!

I"m watching it right now. Like I said earler Kathy Griffin is on. Not much to say except that Barbara is saying, in so many words, that is should have not been on air and that it was too peronal.

I agree it should NOT have been on the air! Joy and the other women kept trying to get them to go to commerical, but the producers wouldn't. Why? Well look at all the media coverage it has got. How many people who normaly wouldn't have tuned in, made plans to do just that today. It's ALL about RATINGS!! Who cares who gets hurt!

I blame the producers for not cutting like they should have in all of this. For putting the two of them up on a split screen.

Both Rosie and Elizabeth get on my nerves. Neither side is willing to give and both think they have the facts and are right.

Ok now I need to know… What happened on the 21th between EH and R?

I read this on Rosie’s blog:
“i dont read ur stupid blog
u r insulting me
what will people think
goodbye is never easy…”

Was she referring to EH?

I have heard that either Whoopi Goldberg or Roseanne Barr could be taking Rosie's place..........so the fight will continue and the rating will soar right? This is really what people want to see. Although yesterday I could barely breathe watching them go at it. Both seemed on the verge of tears at certain points. It was upsetting to see what I thought were friends yelling and screaming at each other like they really haven't before. I think that Rosie has a problem sometimes getting her "real" point accross and we can't read her mind. People here in my office continually call her names and discount her views. Yet, they have never watched her on The View. It's like a real friendship, after you know someone for a while you do know what they mean by what they say. I get really annoyed at the Fox shows that take a minute clip out of a 10 minute conversation and show that as what was really said on the show. I think that a lot of people share Rosie's view of the war and Iraq and just don't have the balls to say it. Elisabeth DID say that she did not think that Rosie thought the troops were terrorists....just couldn't be heard over Rosie's shouts. Besides, isn't this something that 2 friends should have discussed backstage instead of hashing it out on live TV? But, it's like a lot of conversations we all have that start out as one thing and balloon into something totally different. Whatever the outcome, people cannot help but watch to see what will happen next.

You know, I use to get emails like this from a very dear friend when ever he was upset. Short, not really making any sense. I say use to, because he left his house one morning screaming that they FBI was after him. His remains was found 3 months later.

I really have to wonder about her and her stability.

My impression after watching the clip was that they were fighting over two different things. I think Rosie was trying to get EH to validate that their friendship was more important to EH then Faux News. I think that's why Rosie seemed so hurt. Rosie is gruff and obnoxious, but for Rosie she's been really easy on EH. I think she genuinely liked EH on a personal level.

EH on the other hand, seemed determined to stick with her talking points.

Never thought of it that way, to me is more like haiku.

I can't believe that Rosie or anyone else on here is worried about how many Iraqis have been killed when American soldiers continue to die on a daily basis.

First, the 600,000 Iraqi civilian death toll number has been debunked many times for being way too high.

Second, we went to war with Iraq. Of course Iraqis are going to die. In WWII, we went to war against all Germans, not just those in the Nazi party. Did any of you care how many Germans died in WWII that were not in the Nazi party? I doubt it. You cannot fight a war against a country and try to distinguish between the bad and good people living there. It is impossible. We do not target civilians but sometimes there is collateral damage. That is war. Terrorists specifically target civilians, that is why they are different.

Third, since the Iraqi government was overthrown, Iraqi deaths have been largely due to islamic terrorist groups, not Americans.

Again a simple answer "No. I do not think you believe the troops are terrorist. I think you believe that we as a country should not support the deaths of 655,000 possibly Innocent Iraqi people."

On a side note - whatever happened to "caution on the side of life" that Bush use to say? 655,000 people - I can't even fathom.

~Amanda

I am trying to understand why Elizabeth needed to answer any question at all? Rosie made a statement that insinuated she believed Americans were the terrorists and now she is taking the heat for it. What difference would it make to the public/audience what Elizabeth thinks....the comment was about what Rosie thinks. Also I believe I heard on CNN that the death toll was 65,000 not the 655,000 stated (not that we will ever know the real truth)...and I am not referring to this to minimize anyones death.

ARE YOU FOR REAL??????

We didn't go to war with Iraq..We invaded/attacked a sovereign nation. The figure of 600,000 has been debunked by who, George Bush?
You want to know why anyone concerns themselves with the deaths of thousands of innocent men. woman and children when soldiers sent by George Bush are dying? I forgot these aren't people, right? It is questions like this that lead to other countries hating us. I won't say more, I'll be suspended.

I think the War in Iraq is obviously very near and dear to Rosie's heart and she is VERY passionate about it. It appears to be a very painful topic for her and they all know that. Elisabeth is hysterical about EVERYTHING it seems. A person could be talking about the rate that grass grows and she'd be all over it in my opinion. She NEVER sits and thinks anything over before she jumps in.

Isn't free speach what it is all about? That said, the way in which they all rant and not debate it has gotten out of hand. It's hard to hear what they were saying at all and the one I felt most badly for was Joy. She was the one this time that had something to say and wasn't allowed to.

HEY!
WHERE'D MY TAGS GO????
Whaaa..................

Thank you!!! for saying so eloquently, what biting my lip would not allow!!!

This is her normal writing style. I've tried reading her blog and I just can't through it because of the way she writes.

Actually, Rosie talks all the time about the US soldiers getting killed. She's upset that it's not on the news.

Interesting that care and concern about the loss of any life is a bad thing in your eyes.

We lost a few thousand in 9/11 and think how angry we are. How do you think the Iraqi people feel about the tens of thousands they've lost and who do you think they blame?

This administration has created enough bad will to insure generations of new terrorists that hate America. We will be dealing with the consequences of this for a very long time.

So...if they are not Americans, and they die, it doesn't matter?:confused3

People are people.

My husband is in the Air Force.

And I care.
