If you tell Member Services about your request as it pertains to a medical condition, you will most likely have it honored.
My youngest DD has a very rare heart condition, and when she was diagnosed at age 12, there was a period of about a year when she needed to use a wheelchair in the parks. She was mobile enough to walk some, but certainly not any distance.
During our stay at BWV at that time, we put in the request and had the second room down from the elevators. I must say, however, compared to the rooms we have had much further down the hall, the one near the elevator was quite noisy. In the evenings after the parks closed, there was a continual stream of noise as families returned from the parks and traveled past our room. It is a trade off, and certainly if you need the location I would not let the noise stop me.
