Elena of Avalor costume - at Disney store or in park? What's the difference?

So ODD says that her biggest Xmas wish is to get an Elena of Avalor costume, which she saw at the Disney store today. It's quite lovely, but it's $100!* The version exclusively at the parks is $60. What is the difference, other than the instant gratification in time for Xmas? Both look very nice. We aren't heading to WDW until August but I think I could get her on board with waiting until then.

*Lessons learned - went to the Disney Store to "shop for" DH and her little sister, and she knew she wasn't getting anything. I planned the excursion to see what she would be really into, expecting her to go for the Moana toys or princess dolls. She spent a lot of time playing with those, but could not be swayed from wishing with all her heart for a beautiful dress like Elena of Avalor's (and she doesn't even watch Disney Jr). So much for my bright plan to get a lead on what she might really like.

Check the Shop Parks disney app. There are two $60 Elena dresses and you can buy one of them from the app (only one of them is in-park purchase only) and have it shipped to you. I don't know if the Disney Store one is better than those, but they look good enough to me.

Chasing Fireflies has a beautiful Elena dress. It's currently $140 but it's been 60% off a few times this past month. Maybe right after Christmas will be another sale.

You can def get a really nice knock off for much cheaper. Your DD won't know the difference.

I bought the in park exclusive one for my DD, with a 20% AP discount :-D thought it was really reasonable for the quality and how much she absolutely LOVES it. I saw the in-store version that's $99 yesterday and thought they looked similar, not sure why the in-park one is so much cheaper? It has a lot of sparkle to it, too. I looked into some cheaper options but I've found I really appreciate the park quality ones vs the knock offs.

Thanks for your input! DD agreed to defer her big costume and asked instead for "princess shoes" - unfortunately none of the shoes in our local disney store are her size, so she's getting Elsa and Elena jewelry.
