ElecTRONica ending on 31st? Any info please!

Checking out the calendar on the Disney site and noticed that as of the 31st, I am not seeing it on the events page anymore! I see nothing for Jan, and no other months for 2012 are showing thus far. Ive read on various other sites it was supposed to be extended up to spring or possibly a permanent fixture.

Any info on why it is not showing up? I cant seem to find anything, official or not. Thanks in advance!

The Calendar takes time to update, it doesn't show everything. ElecTRONica is planned to run into the Spring, confirmed by Disney. It's a weekend, Friday-Sunday event.

I read that they will eventually be renaming and retheming Electronica sometime next year.

True, it looks like ElecTRONica will end after Spring Break. Then in the offseason(end of April and May) be switched. The coming Mad T Party(Alice in Wonderland, with themes like the newer Tim Burton movie) should start for Summer.

Thanks for the replies. New to the board too! Was just semi worried, this was one of the reasons I bought an AP. I knew it wasnt going to last forever, but didnt think it would end that early. Def going to miss it as its so fitting, hopefuly whatever replaces it will be just as good though! Again, thanks for the replies!

Did you ever go to Glow Fest, the night party in the HBL(Hollywood Back Lot) that took place before ElecTRONica? It was also a lot of fun. I doubt the replacement will be bad as it's become an important feature of DCA.

Thank you for the welcome! No, I did not get to go to that, truth be told for the longest I was not a Disney or a park fan, but I went with my wife on Halloween for our anniversry, saw the Tron thing on the events paper, took a gander over there and was hooked bad. Now I love the park again!

Just gonna be sad to see it go, was a perfect fit IMO for that sort of enviroment. The lighting, preshow, laser show, arcade, bar area, all perfect IMO! Hopefuly I can squeeze two or three more trips in before it goes away.
