I was just wondering if anyone has an electronic grocery list? I saw one the other day and thought it looked like a good invention, the person that had it said she loved it. If you have one, which one do you have and what do you like or dislike about it. Thanks.

This is kind of funny - because I'm not a fan of all these gadgets and gizmoes - but, something similar works out well for my Dson-in-law..

He has a Blackberry (or something like that) - provided by his employer for both business and personal use.. Now don't ask me how this works, because I don't know - but he has 2 "standing" grocery lists stored in there.. One is theirs, the other is mine (he shops for me on Thursday nights and then brings the food up on Friday nights when they come to the lake because it's so much cheaper down there than the one "give-us-all-your-money-and-no-one-gets-hurt" grocery story up here over in town)..:rotfl:

Our lists of needs don't tend to change much from week to week, so he's just able to go in and change the "amounts" when he calls me on Thursday ("2" cases of bottled water rather than "1") etc.. Or if there's a "new" item I'm requesting, he just plugs it in there.. He loves it - because he can't read my DD's handwriting (LOL) and he doesn't have to write a separate list for my things..

So - for some, I guess it would be a pretty nifty thing to have..:goodvibes

A woman in my local grocery store showed me her list the other day and was very happy with her electronic list maker. She said it was about $50. I dunno.... Seems $$$$ for something you can do with a scrap of paper and a pen?

I keep several running lists on my Droid X. One for general food shopping, one for Costco, and one for Home Depot/Lowe's.

This is something I just might be interested in. Can ya tell me the name of it so I can do some research on it? Thanks so much!!!

My neighbor has one and loves it. I wouldn't mind having one.

I use my cell phone to keep my grocery list on...everytime I need to add something I just add it onto the memo!

We use Cozi. It offers a grocery list, to do list, and a family calendar. I have it on the computers at home and the Ipad. It has a mobil feature that works on most (maybe all) cell phones.

My husband downloaded an app for us that we can share a grocery list. So I can put it on my list and he gets it but I haven't really used it.

I have an APP on my iPhone. I don't remember what it is called though and I'm too lazy to go look. There's several free ones out there in the App store.

I like it because my kids have the same App on their "gadgets and gizmos" and if I send them to the store for me I can just zap the list over to them.

I have an electronic Christmas list too. I like it because I don't have to sit down every year and make a list of all the nieces/nephews/great nieces/great nephews etc etc and then worry that I've forgotten somebody. Also, it keeps track of their ages for me which is great when it is a kid you only see once a year and its hard to remember how old they are now to shop for them.

Love GroceryIQ on my IPhone:thumbsup2

That's the one I have and use it all the time. So much easier than wrangling with a paper list and trying to cross things off and figure out what aisle things are in.

Is yours a bit laggy though? If I get a text or phone call while I'm shopping, it seems so slow to reload the list.

We have the Grocery IQ app on our iPhones. Pretty cool. We still often just use paper or else take a photo of a dry erase board we keep on the fridge to write down what we need as we need it.

I do not have the type of cell phone that can support apps, so I am looking at these at Amazon:

Looking for feedback on something other than cellphone apps. TIA

I have it- and eh- it listens to you saying items and then organizes them- only problem is you have to say things like "Ham" 20 times for it to recognize it- you'll get a "did you mean eggs?" Um NO HAM!- do you want napkins? NO HAM!!

I felt like a crazy person screaming into this machine. Mine is an older version- 2 years old so perhaps they have improved the understanding.

:lmao: I'm sorry but this is hilarious!:lmao:

An online grocery Lister, which stores, displays and prints the list of grocery items. The device includes a computer which stores the names of groceries, according to broad classifications. A user can scroll through the names of the groceries are loaded in the computer and displayed on a small screen. A user can mark himself those elements who wish to buy and, if desired, can retrieve and print all data entered. A first embodiment is portable.

We use Grocery Gadget on the phone. I liked Grocery IQ better, but Gadget syncs between my and DH's phones. So we can both add to it, and whoever goes to the store has a list of everything that's needed. It's awesome! :goodvibes
