If MK closes at 7 for MVMCP, does the electrical water pageant still run that night? And if so, at what time? TIA

Here is the schedule which is the same all year round.

The Electrical Water Pageant usually follows this schedule:

Disney's Polynesian Resort - 9:00pm
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa - 9:15pm
Disney's Wilderness Lodge - 9:35pm
Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground - 9:45pm
Disney's Contemporary Resort - 10:05pm
Magic Kingdom park - 10:20pm (only during extended Magic Kingdom Park hours)

(You may want to check with the resort just in case the schedule changes or if its canceled due to the weather that day)

I actually saw it while waiting for the bus at the MK. It was cute but not something I would want to make a special trip for.

We caught the Electric light pageant last year behind the Contemporary after having dinner at Chef Mickeys. We dragged a couple of chairs down to the beach, had it all to ourselves and enjoyed the short show.

It was nice but watching all the ducks that call the little pool by the lake home was the highlight of our night! We still joke with each other about it and how the ducks reminded us of certain friends and family members.

Usually, the show that "performs" near the MK gates is done without the music.
While the EWP not a great show even WITH the music, it is far less without it.

Electrical Water Pageant

The words conjure some phantasmagorical display of
dazzling lightning-like high voltage interplay with glittering aquatic delights, no?

Well...

My favorite saying about these kind of "simple" things comes from Hawkeye Pierce on the old M*A*S*H TV show.

"Its not much, but its really nothing."

Although I never miss a chance to see it... inappropriate "over-anticipation"
can be built up over the "Electrical Water Pageant".

People seem to be expecting to see "Spectromagic on the water", when it is really closer to oversized "Lite Brite" pegs mounted on some barges,

with a "Casio Keyboard" music track.

Don't get me wrong, I still love it, and it's a piece of WDW History, but first-timers, please don't get your hopes set too HIGH.

We caught it outside MK on 11/22 and they were playing the music with it. Our timing just happened to work out perfectly. We had caught the boat at the Poly after eating there and as soon as we got off at MK the EWP was starting and we had a perfect view of it. We loved it! My 17 year old daughter was very excited to see it! It's simple but very cute!

My DS (12 at the time) and I were having dinner in Narcossee's when it came by. Even though we have been to WDW quite a few times, we stay around the Boardwalk, so the Electric Water Pagent wasn't on our radar screen at all! I have to admit, I got a pretty big kick out of it because it was so totally unexpected (and frankly, I'm easily amused). My son liked it too.
