The local radio stations are playing it a lot, and I've never heard this song before, but apparently it isn't new.

MTV is running the video as well.

I wonder why they didn't push it when it was first cut?

Is it a new song? I know they have a new album coming out soon, within the next couple of weeks I think. U2 is my favorite, but I don't think I've heard of this song yet.

there are several mixes floating around of it right now.

i think the album is coming out november 12.

Here's what I found when I did a search:

There aren't that many bands who can manage to put out two double-disc greatest hits albums in the space of three years, but then U2 are an extraordinary group of musicians.

This is one of two brand new tracks recorded especially for the quartet's Best Of 1990 - 2000, which covers a period that saw the band reach new artistic heights.

At first, Electrical Storm seems like standard fare from Bono and co. The song itself is one of those rousing, mid-paced ballads that should come with a free Zippo lighter. However, just when you think U2 have reverted to formula, a phat, square-waved analogue synth comes careering into the mix, the use of which must surely have been inspired by long-time collaborator Brian Eno, a man who certainly knows how to apply the proverbial cherry to the top of any musical cake.

I was under the impression that this song was a few years old!

I LOVE this song and U2! The 2 disc set will be released on Nov. 5.
