Electrical Parade

Hubby and I are in the beginning phases or planning a DL trip. I would really love to see the electrical parade but saw it only runs seasonally. How often does it run and at what times of year?

The last tiem I saw the Electrical Parade was at it's last performance it WDW. I had seen it MANY times there and would just love to see it once more.

DEP has been a seasonal fixture at DCA for the last 4-5 years to try to draw some folks there in the evening. DEP has run mostly during high season. S.S. Columbia had a recent list of DEP operating times.

However, things are set to change. In March 2010 DCA will open a spectacular night time show called World of Color which likely means the end of DEP at DCA. However, there is talk of bringing back DEP to DL for the 55th anniversary next year where it would once again become the MSEP. If that happens expect it to be a regular offering at DL for awhile.

If this year is a repeat of recent years, the DEP will go dark after Labor Day, then will return for the 2 weeks surrounding Christmas/New Years.

Like Trey said, things might be mixed up a bit in 2010 when the DEP is once again the MSEP.

I would love for the Electrical Parade to be put back where it belongs. On Main Street.

Oh goodness, if it was moved back to DL and became MSEP, it would make my LIFE

Other than it being DL's 55th anniversary, the main reason why the parade will be moving parks is because of the major construction that will be starting (hopefully later this year) to transform DCA's entrance and entrance plaza. I've heard that the parade will only be temporarily at DL.
