Electrical Parade

Woot Woot! Just checked the disney calender to find that the Main Street Electrical Parade will be up and running in early june. I've never seen it before and it was my biggest disappointment when I went for my first time to DL last year to find out it was seasonal and I wasnt able to see it.

Now I cant contain myself, im freaking out cause its going to be on when I go in June.

It is the BEST Disney parade ever and I'm sooo glad its still around to be seen at DCA.

We were just at DCA one week ago today (Friday) and they didn't have it. I was so disappointed as it's our favorite parade. We thought maybe they got rid of it, but so happy to hear it's still around. We'll have to catch it next time.

The Electrical Parade is one of the big reasons I now prefer Disneyland/DCA during peak seasons. When its not there I feel like something is missing!

It will be running some days in April. Click on that above link for the April Calendar at DL/DCA. Just click on the numerical date to bring up specific information for each day you need it.

The light parade is my favourite, I extended my vacation a day so that DS and I could see it!

I know it's on friday 20th April so it might be on other times in April also.

I'm so excited about seeing it, it's one of my fondest memories of my first trips to WDW in the early 80's.

I'm going next week just to see the parade. How obsessed is that? DD4 has never seen it because we usually go on a weekday or non-peak season. I can't wait to see her face.

Yes, it is running while we are there in April from the 26-30. Can't beat off season days and the parade, it's what dreams are made of!!

hmm, its suppose to run full 2 week, most likely from April 1st --> 14th.

April 1st week is a "required" week for us CMs.

The parade begins at 8:45. At about what time will it be over? We will be seeing it the last night of our stay and will begin our drive home afterwards. Will it be crazy getting out of the park and the parking lot? This will be a Sat. night in April, so the parks will be open for quite some time after the parade.

Well, it completely depends on where you view it from. The parade starts at 8:45 down by the Paradise Pier area. If you watch it down there near the Orange Stinger or Zephyr, you will be one of the first to see it and be able to exit the park the back way through Grizzly Peak area. If you try to watch it near Sunshine Plaza, it may be 9:15 before it gets there. There are usually a lot more people viewing it from Sunshine Plaza, so I always prefer to watch it farther down towards Bug's Land or the Pier.

Equally as good if not better. Less crowds = better viewing for me.

How does the Electrical Light Parade at CA compare to the one a Magic Kingdom? My two year old loved that one last year.
