We are planning a trip in October, and I just pulled up the schedule, and the Electrical Parade is not on there. Does this only go on during a certain part of the year? I was going to get a park hopper pass, but not sure I need to if there is no Electrical Parade.

With the hours only being 10-8 I am not sure that we would have time to do both parks in one day, what do you think?? Any advice would help.

Also, are there characters at California Adventure that are not at Disneyland, Would we miss out on anything exciting by not going there this time???

Thanks

I think I remember seeing in my Annual Passholder newsletter that the Main Street Electrical Parade would be in hiatus from after Labor Day until Christmas. It would probably be difficult to see both parks in one day with hours 10 - 8.

I am not sure what the price difference is that you are looking at for the two different types of tickets. I would definitely say it might be hard to hit both parks in one day, though. I would say though that we usually get our best autographs and character sighting at DCA - some that we have seen only there are: Stitch, Sully, Flik, Mulan, Cruella, Max, Jo Jo, Cinderella. Most of those are not "have to" see, unless you have a special interest. DH's favorite two rides are in DCA - Screamin and Grizzly - so I know he would probably make us do both.
