Electrical parade and Wishes

Is there time between these two events? I would like to see the parade and skip the fireworks. I am thinking it might be difficult to exit the park so might try to get a Fastpass for the parade if they are available that day. Would that location where you are for fastpass make it easier to exit?!! Thanks, beachfan

But, you do not NEED to have a FP to stand in the Town Square area (just not in the center of the area, which is FP only.) You could grab a spot on the sidewalk near, say, the Fire Station or City Hall.
You want to do so by at least 30-45 min. before the parade start-time.

Should we make a beeline, or do we have time to poke into a few shops? (This is for a day that has EMH in the PM, if that matters)

Hopefully Robo will chime in with some more definitive advice, but here is what I've heard: people have suggested in order to make it to Wishes FP+ area after MSEP, get rid out behind the end of MSEP and follow immediately behind the parade up to the Wishes FP+ area. You want to get there ASAP so you can catch the castle projection show that starts 15 minutes beforehand. No time for shops - save that for after Wishes. You can also watch MSEP from the Wishes FP+ area. The view of MSEP from that area is perfectly acceptable or absolutely terrible, depending on who you ask.

As mentioned, get right into the street at the very end of the MSEP and follow the end of the parade down Main St. until you reach the Hub.
Then, make your way to either one of the two Wishes FP+ areas.
You will be in the areas in plenty of time to see Celebrate the Magic that starts 15 minutes before Wishes.

That is correct - or at least it was on my last visit to WDW. I personally wouldn't stay in the MSEP area to watch Wishes - much better views are to be had by moving up the street closer to the hub. I don't think you could see the castle projections at all from the MSEP area.
