Electric Water Parade from Poly beach

We are eating at the Poly on our first night at WDW. Just wondering about the Electric Water Parade and if we can see it from the beach at the Poly. Also, what time does it usually happen?

We watched it from the Poly beach several years ago and it was wonderful. They have chairs on the beach to sit in. My only warning is take bug spray!!! I got eaten up by mosquitos!
