Does the electric water pageant show on the off season? (We are going the last week of Sept.) Also, can it be viewed from anywhere in MK? I understand that there are paths leading to the lagoon. Also, We are staying at AKL.....how do we get back to our resort after the show? Any info would be great. Thanks!

Always the party-pooper, we felt the water pageant was WAYyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

yyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

yyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

over-hyped.

We took great pains to try to see it and we ended up feeling more embarrassed than thrilled. Embarrassed because...well.....because we made such a big effort. I wish someone would have warned us not to take the time out of our evening schedule to do it.

Gosh, I hate posting negative stuff on the DIS. This is just one of those times where I feel the need to say "ACK!" I guess. LOL LOL

I agree . . . folks who haven't seen it yet seem to have the opinion that it is a not-to-be-missed attraction.

But we still make the effort every trip. Our favorite thing to do on arrival evening is to have dinner at Ohana, then stroll down to the beach and leisurely watch the EWP float by. We really enjoy it, and it puts us in the Disney mood !! As a matter of fact, I like the music as much as I like the light display.

There are few things you can do at Disney with no lines, and this is one of them ! :D

But to answer your original question: It runs every night all year long unless there's inclement weather. It is best seen from the beaches of the Magic Kingdom resorts; I don't believe you can see it from anywhere inside the MK.

Same here.....we have to see it every trip but it's more of a nostalgic thing for me. My DS whos 3 1/2 thinks it's boring. But I grew up going to Disney World since it opened, and it's kind of a tradition for me. Back in the "old" days, that was one of the few night time entertainment options we had. These days it doesn't even compare to Spectromagic, Illuminations or Fantasmic.

For someone who hasn't seen it before, if you happen to see it, it's a cute little show. Even though I personally love it, I wouldn't recommend anyone going out of their way to see it.

It's not Spectromagic, Fantasmic or any of the other nighttime spectacles. It's corny by today's standards. I first saw it in 1980, when I was 10, and took DH and DD to see it in 1999. I think I wanted to see it more out of nostalgia for me.

We were at MK last wednesday and it was out on the lake by the Resort Boat docks at park closing.

Can't you see it from Ft Wilderness? We are going to be going to HDDR and was planning on seeing it from there.

I remember the EWP from when I was young, but I haven't seen it on any of my adult trips. I would love to take my young daughters to see it in September. What time does it take place?

It is at WL at around 9:30 and heads to FW, so add a few mnutes. You should be able to get a good view from FW beach or dock.

I just checked my link and have found that it doesn't lead to the page I had intended. Please see Doona in Oz's post above for the correct link.

I like the EWP. It's a cute show and I found it cleaver which songs they used to spotlight each of the floats (A crocodile cues "Never Smile at a Crocodile" from Peter Pan, an octopus cues "Poor Unfortunate Souls" from the Little Mermaid, ect,) It's true it's no Fantasmic or Spectro, but it's a nice show.I'm not sure if I would go out of my way to see it if I wasn't staying at an MK resort. Since you're staying at AKL, doing this would be very out of your way. I think that seeing the campfire storytelling at the resort or even just seeing the animals and going to the pool would be just as entertaining and much easier that having to go all the way to one of the Mk Resorts to see the show,
