Electric toothbrush suggestions for 3 kids

Any suggestions for electric toothbrushes. 3 kids (14, 12, 9) sharing a bathroom so one holder would be best. I have seen singles and doubles, but not sure about 3.

Thinking now might be a good time for a deal. Thanks for any ideas.

best electric brush is the sonic care from phillips. Oral B ones are ok also but the sonic are have a nice small head and the bristles aren't as hard as on the oral B brushes. The key is to let the brush do the work and not push on it. Cheapest place to get them is likely your dentist (at least it is in Canada). Up here dentists sell them and they are not allowed to mark up products so it is much cheaper than at a drug store. There is no such thing as one that will hold three brushes, luckily you don't really need three brushes if they are willing to share one handle and just have their own heads (not sure how well that would go over with kids). They can just each have a coloured rubber band or something to mark their head and take turns using the brush itself.

thanks! I didnt realize that about the dentist selling them. My dentist has a new state of the art facility and i shyed away from the products thinking they were marked up to help pay for the new beautiful place LOL I will definitely check into that.

Sadly, my 3 wouldnt share. I do have 1 in braces now so a gentle working toothbrush that will do the work is a good idea.

well it doesn't hurt to ask, not all dentists sell them but some do. Like I said up here you can't charge markup as a dentist but not sure how it is down there. There are a few types of soniccare. Some of them come with pretty small trade chargers which may work well for you (mine did, but it also came with a huge UV sterilizer charger as well so I am not sure if you have to get that model to get the travel charger or not).

I second the recommendation for Sonicare. They come with several different colored rings for marking different brush heads when family members share a handle. I don't even share with my (adult) son, however. We each have our own handle and own charger.

Sonic care are the best. I usually find the cheapest to be Kohls. You have to wait until they are on sale, then combine all the coupons. You can also get them at Sam's. Good Luck!

Kohls had a great deal on sonic care for black Friday. We picked up three for just $85. We got a box with two brushes and one charger and another box with one brush and charger. I believe these were the Essenence models (they weren't the flex cares). They were on sale for 55% off. I also had a 15% off kohls coupon. I had two $10 manufacture coupons, but the computer wouldn't accept one of them I guess because I was buying a dual box. But I was able to get $10 off the single. I don't know if that was a Friday only deal, but definitely worth checking out. Good luck!

If you have one in braces I would not recommend a Sonic care for her/him. While they are the best toothbrushes, the heads will fray in no time and it is expensive to replace them every 2 or 3 weeks. (I know I am in braces.) Until I get out of braces I am using the oral-b spin brush. I got a set of 2 plus a carrying case and a stand at Sams for less than $20. While it is cheaper to get them at wal-mart with coupons, I really wanted the stand and carrying case. LOL

You could go for SpinBrushes from Crest. An office I worked at sold Sonicares and trust me, they made a profit. We bought them for $30 and sold them for $65, I think you could buy them at the retail stores for less (yrs ago!). He also sold paste and rinses which we were supposed to push. So many people didn't know they could get the same stuff at Target for a lot less. The good thing about the Sonicare and kids is the timer...it makes them brush for 2 minutes, which if most kids did with the action of a $5 spinbrush would yield the same results, most kids and teens and even adults just don't brush long enough. DH and I use Sonicare and DD uses a SpinBrush, she just doesn't clean off her brush enough and the inside of the Sonicare was too gross!

Those Crest SpinBrushes are the total pits. And they sold them over to Arm and Hammer or something, but the design is exactly the same and brush heads are interchangeable.

Every one I know, has had theirs die within a year of use, and no amount of battery changes made a difference. I'm back to a regular tooth brush till I can buy one of the fancy ones.

My DD is going to school for dental hygiene and she also says the best toothbrush is the Sonicare. She has used the oral B also, but highly recommends the Sonicare.

don't get a spin brush they are horrible you may as well be using a manual. Now don't get me wrong manual brushes are fine also but the difference is you need to treat a spin brush like a manual brush and do the work yourself, unlike a real electric brush which you should just be moving from tooth to tooth and letting the brush do the work. If you really want a spin brush just think again and save the planet by not pointlessly throwing the AA batteries in the landfill that you will go through for no reason
