Electric Light Parade??

We were in DL in October and they didn't have this then (at least I don't think they did. we WERE only there for 2 days and we missed a few things) when did it start and will it be on in November when we go again? Thanks so much

Traditionally the DEP goes "dark" right after Labor Day and only returns for a short 2-3 week period during the peak Christmas period. It then goes dark again until Spring Break when it runs daily, then goes weekends only until summer peak hits when it runs daily again.

Thats so stupid it should be year round .... i understand canceling it if it rains one night... but it should atleast be on the weekends like everything else... maybe switch up weekends....

DangerMouse: Since, so far, 2008 has been an exception in the sense that the EP has been running since January up til now, do you think their would be chances that this year, they would be running it all year long? I'd like to think so!

The only reason they kept the DEP running past January early this year was because they took away BPB and needed a parade to fill in the interim period until they got Pixar Play up and running. By the time they started the new parade, it was Spring Break period, which is when they traditionally start running the DEP again. So my best guess is that no, they won't keep it running after Labor Day this year, and the Pixar Play parade will be the only parade running at DCA during off-season this fall.

Oh thats too bad Since i'm going early December I was hoping it might be playing. But if I look at last year`s schedule, it only started playing on Dec 23 for the xmas season Thanks for your input

Hey - is the Electric Parade at DL the original one? I like it better than Spectramagic at WDW. I hope it is the old version - my kids just love listening to the music!

It's close. There are a couple of missing floats. (caught fire I believe)

They are running E (as my kid calls it) on weekends after spring break. I was there last May and I don't remember them doing it then.
