Electric Light Parade in early December?

We always go to DL the week after Thanksgiving, and my sister thought that last year they were running the Electric Light Parade in DCA during the Christmas season. We always go during the week, so we never see the weekend entertainment.

Does anyone recall if this is correct? And if so, will they do so again this year? My sister has added a few weekend days to her trip, and is hoping to catch the parade. If we could see that, it would be really tempting for us to add weekend days as well....

Thanks

We were there from November 16 - 23rd and there was no light parade. :sad1: I would love it so much if they had it this year.

Typically, they won't begin showing the DEP until peak Christmas period, which I would suspect would begin Dec. 18 this year and run through Jan 3.

Thanks to everyone for the input. Hopefully we'll make it to the park one of these days when its scheduled....

If this is the case, it is the best news I've had ALL week. We are going (for the first time) in January. We'll arrive, post-cruise, on 1/3 and stay for 2 nights. If we can see the DEP on the 3rd, it will make the trip.

When they show it, is it only on the weekends or do they show it on the weekdays as well? We'll be there Dec 20-23 (sun-wed) and I would love to catch this as my son has never seen it!!!

They will show it nightly during that peak holiday period I mentioned above.

I'm really pleased to see the 18th listed :cool1:

I did some looking around over previous years and had estimated it to start then but wasn't too sure if that would be the case or not. I've seen the Electrical Parade when it was at Disneyland Paris and I far preferred it over Fantillusions, so I'm really excited to know that I can catch it on my last night :worship:
