Are electric heating pads allowed in checked luggage? I've been having a lot of pain lately and have been needing the heating pad every night now when I go to bed. If not, is there an alternate heating pad that you can use that isnt electric nor needs to be heated up in a microwave?

Oh yes, the heating pad isnt gel or anything. Its just a pad with wires inside of it.

Great! Thanks so much! I just wanna make sure it was allowed. Would you recommend putting a little cover thing over the part that goes inside the outlet? I have 1 that goes to my crockpot that would fit it.

No problem at all.

I wouldn't worry about it. Do you put those things on your cell phone charger, or the plug for your laptop, or your camera charger, or the charger for your kids' Nintendo DS??

No, folks bring electronic stuff as carryons all the time, and there is absolutely no problem.

You can even take it in your carry on. It is not a "liquid" ;) It is no different than a hairdryer.
