El Pirata Counter Service--Is it open now?

If you've just returned, could you report if this fast food restaurant is open? Also, what date.

I asked this on the restaraunt page and people have said that it is open.

Thanks for the heads up...but also, it can change daily...so I'm wondering on an on-going basis.

On an ongoing basis, it's open intermittently. Being open on a given day or days in the past doesn't necessarily mean it will be open on an equivalent (e.g. same day of the week, same date in a different month) in the future.

I really wish they'd keep it open all the time. Wonder why they don't? We liked it the one time it was open when we were there. We went 5 times from Dec. 2006 to November 2007 and only found it open once, in April. We'd have gone at least once each trip.

It was open when we were there the end of May last year. A CM told us they don't keep a "normal" schedule. They base it on park attendance, time of year, etc. Another thing I found interesting was the crew that was working at El Pirata, closed up shop at 3:00pm and moved over to the Tomorrowland Terrace Noodle Station. Kind of funny, the CM at El Pirata that took our lunch order, was the same on that took our snack order at Noodles right before Wishes that night.

It was open last week while we were there. It was in the Times Guide as open every day of the week - I didn't personally confirm that.
