El Guitar (updated with new vid by DarkwingDuck)

Hey guys! Its been a while but here I am rocking a few more clips for you're hearing pleasure...actually more like tourture, but what ever. Anyway. Sorry they are not the full songs, my recorder just goes to 1 minute.

Stars By Switchfoot Intro (Not my best, it was early and I was a little off, plus I was trying to practice strumming to match the band) . Phone rings at the end :D)

Dare You to Move Intro and Chorus(Again not the best, it was early. Ive gotten better with the fingering, but was too lazy to rerecord. I need to get it on the acoustic too, but I play it better on the electric.)

Yeah...I need new strings for all my guitars and ukulele. They all sound terrible now and I havent really changed my strings and havent bought new ones in forever. So I have been babysitting for money. Hopefully soon I can buy some.

I know whatcha mean. my guitar teacher has been nagging me for two months to buy new strings, but I never felt like driving to guitar center to get them. gas ain't cheap. so last week he couldn't take it and bought them for me. whoo. I tried paying him back, but he wouldn't take it. I used to have some mean old guy, but then he quit and I got this chill twenty-something year old something guy. I heart my new teacher. young > old. end of story

what kind of guitar do you have? whatever it is, it has a gorgeous sound.

Oh thank you. Its an Agile Ghost III. It was a cheapo 350 buck guitar I got for my Birthday. The Stars cover had a wee bit to much distortion, but it wasnt too bad. For the cleans though it really does sound good when my amp is tuned in correctly like with that sample.

Its definatly a metal guitar though, which is a bit ironic cuz it sounds so good. Like I said, for 350 bucks its an AWESOMe guitar. Nothing overly fancy like binding or slick inlays, but it works fine till I get my SG. Really the only problem is that its so damn heavy. Its close to 18 pounds I believe...and thats insane for standing for more than a couple minutes.

But anywho, heres some pictures of her...

18 pounds!?!. damnnit I would fall over if I had that one on me. I'm 4'11 and fully grown, so I have an electric acoustic- verry light at that. The problem I have is I have really small hands. I still play a normal length guitar. I wanted to get a short scale, since I was having trouble doing chords that involved more than 3 frets. But he made be get a regular, and now I've ajusted fine. I went shopping with my teacher when I was getting a new guitar, and he wanted me to get something similar to yours. But when I tried to hold it, I couldn't support it for more than 10 seconds. weak, I know. so we settled on a nice little black electric acoustic. I payed around 350, but It sounds just as good as my teachers which is like 1300. Its all about brands. you can get something just a nice for alot cheaper minus a namebrand.

Oh I know that. Believe me. Like I said, mine was only 350 bucks and brand new at that, and it sounds as good as the 600 dollar one my bud has. But for me, my guitar playing has become a way of life for me so im starting to REALLY pick up the subtle differences in the different price ranges. Thats why im saving up for one of those 1300 dollar beauties :D. But yeah i know what you mean about a lot of that stuff. How long have you been playing for?

3 years. and yeah, you can notice the difference, but I'm not quite that serious. as of now it's just a hobbie. As much as I would love to preform for thousands, I don't think thats in my future as of yet. I still need to work up the courage to play my songs for someone besides my teacher.

Oh WAY longer than me! Ha ha ive been doing it for just under a year now. But I have fallen in love with it SO much. Im planing on going to college and studying it a bit further, and I would LOVE to perform for thousands. My dream moment would be playing with my band during one of our singles and (If I EVER learn to sing any good) I would jump off stage and walk into the audience having them sing along with me. I would jump up on a seat, having the crowd rush around me as we all sing the chorus 3 or 4 times and just the simply awesome feeling of a unity and spiritual closness. Switchfoot did this at a recent concert I went too, and I was floored on how amazing it was. And I want that feeling.

awh, thats so sweet. But yeah I know what your saying. Music is a univeral language. People can connect through it. I love preforming in front of strangers. I can't play in front of people I know well. But one night last month my guitar teacher kidnapped me mid-lesson and took me too a open mic night at some bar. He made me sing the songs that I had wrote. Funny thing is that I had no problem doing it in front of complete strangers. I most likely will never see the people in that bar again. But when playing a song for a friend, what happens if they don't like it. I'm just afraid of judgement.
