I'm watching the Mets cream the Marlins...El Duque is at bat.

We got to meet him once in Texas. The Yankees were playing the Rangers and we were at the same hotel as the Yankees. He didnt speak much but patted our one ds on the head and pointed at his shirt because he liked it. My dh got to ride up in the elevator with him and said he is huge!! One of the ds has his picture with him. It was awesome.

Now, Joanne, he's not the oldest player in MLB...the oldest is his teammate on the Mets, Julio franco who is at LEAST 47! El Duque is supposed to be 40 or 41, not the 36 that he claims he is!
