EJ, Robert and Dave made our stay magical, and I wanted to thank them. If you see them, tell them you've heard how wonderful they are. Boy, will they wonder! They were at the front desk when we checked in (EJ was training Robert), and Dave jumped in to help when I asked to be put in the 50's building. I sure am glad they persisted because our room view was fantastic! We were in 2356 and we had a view of the Epcot ball and Illuminations in the evening. Any room along that side would have a good view since it's a shared balcony walkway. It was also quieter looking at the lake and away from the pool area but still an easy walk to the pool. I highly recommend that you request the 50's building, Epcot view. You won't feel like you're at a "Value" resort, and the kids will love the theme!

Thanks, EJ, Robert and Dave for being topnotch CM's and making the resort so POPular! I know, I'm full of corn. Get it, (Pop)corn. Okay, okay, don't Pop your lids! I'm stopping now.

I don't know Robert, but I do know EJ and Dave quite well... I will make sure this gets passed onto them. Both are wonderful assets to Pop Century.

(Just want to make sure I'm thinking of the right Dave... younger guy, very very very short buzz cut dark hair?)

For official recognition purposes, make sure to send of a letter to WDW Guest Communications... this way, management can make sure that these CMs get the recognition they deserve.

Chip 'n Dale Express -- Dave was an older gentleman with grey hair and Robert was in training. I'd say he learned a lot while helping me!

I would love to send a letter to Guest Communications. How do I do that? They definitely made me want to stay at Pop again!

Okay, I know which Dave now... Dave H. Such a nice guy, he and his wife Linda both work front desk.

As for Guest Communications... I think it might be guest.communications@wdw.disney.com but I really don't know. I'm sure it's posted somewhere on this website.

We also had great check-in service at the Pop last week - from Catherine. Also loved the bus service, especially one driver named Gabriel who kept the entire bus laughing the whole trip. :D

My son and I stayed at PC last December when it was only 3 days old. It is now our favorite value resort. When we were waiting for the shuttle to pick us up on our last day, we started a coversation with a WONDERFUL CM from baggage services. We talked to her for about half an hour about my interest in living in Florida. She was very helpful, even pointing out private school information for my son and good neighborhoods and home prices. She was such an example of a CM that Walt himself would be proud of. She gave my son and I a hug as we left. I felt like I had made a new friend. After we got home I wrote a letter to the GM of PC commending her. I was surprised to get a nice phone call from Disney thanking me for taking the time to send a letter about her. My son and I will be staying at PC for 4 nights in March before we move over to OKW. I hope I run into this fantastic CM again. She and others like her will make PC a repeat resort for many guests!

I'm estatic to hear such great things about fellow Pop Century CM's. I certainly promise that anytime a CM gets acknowledgement of spectacular performance, it's kind of like being the first kid chosen in gym class, lol. Anyways like I said whenever someone comes to me to pass along a good word, I do whatever I can to find that CM or at least get something tangible, in writing, about that guests feelings. It's kinda like getting something unexpected in the mail, I will definitely pass on all the good words to the people involved, especially Dave H. and Catherine (who I actually used to spend time with at The Pirates of the Caribbean). Anywho, thanks again and keep in mind, it takes love to get love! :0) pirate:

Fridye what floor were you on ? We leave next Thursday and I would really like to be in the 50's building. Will be on the lookout for your special cm's. Thanks in advance,

There are three buildings in the 50's section. We were in building 2, which was the closest to Epcot. We were on the 3rd floor -- 2356 (2 for building, 3 for floor, 56 for room). Our room directly faced the Epcot ball. Any room on that side on the 3rd or 4th floor would be good. See the attached link for the building layout. http://www.haysllc.com/Disneyworld/PopCenturyRoomLayoutLarge.jpg

Actually, since our side was an L shape, any room in the L would be good, even if you weren't directly facing Epcot because you could go out to the shared balcony walkway and turn your head to the right and watch the fireworks, and you'd have a direct view of the lake. We had to look to the left to see the lake -- very picturesque. Here's a link to the Pop Century resort layout. On the map, our building was the farthest on the left. http://www.wdw-photos.com/popcwdw/map.GIF

Another crucial piece of info if you're a coffee drinker -- there are NO COFFEEMAKERS! You can't request them. I brought my own. I also brought towels for the pool since there aren't any at the pool, and I'd read on these boards that it may take a while for them to be delivered to your room if you request them.

BTW, mousekeeping kept the room spotless, and that was no easy task with my messy children!

Enjoy your trip!
