Either way my dream came true! Nov 2012 PTR....Trip Cancelled :( but a new PTR

Just found your pretrip report. Love it. I really love the shirts and your movie night ideas. I have a trip planned for November as well and have been thinking of doing a pretrip report to help make the time go by faster. :goodvibes

I'm here too. So sorry the adoption didn't happen. Hopefully another little guy or gal is out there just waiting for a great home. OUr son is our little IVF miracle after 2 years of fertility treatments. Working on #2 the end of this year when we attempt IVF again. We've always been open to adoption too- i know the process for that is just as hard if not harder. Sending some pixie dust for you!

Loving your plans so far! So glad you finall got the other two ressies- i had heard people complaining about not getting tusker house too. weird! Love your t-shirts. super cute!

:welcome: Thanks for joining in guys! I love the shirts too :lovestruc I hope to get the other two done next weekend and I will share! They are iron ons I had a girl on etsy make me and they are super easy.

So as I promised I am going to do a little mini trip report on the craziness of the last two days around here. We went to a Coaster Club even called Holiwood Nights were we were allowed in the park before it opened and after it closed to ride the three wooden coasters and Saturday morning we got to ride the water coasters at the water park early. I should tell you that last weekend it was in the high 90's all weekend this weekend the high was 67 and yes I was at a waterpark while it was 65 out :rolleyes1

So the final count was 38 hours in parks...100 coaster rides (water and wooden combined) and 40 other rides:eek: Yes I am aware I'm crazy and yes we really are relaxing at Disney even going at commando speed lol

Here's a few pics :)

I thought the event shirts were so cute and how fitting that they are DIS GREEN  Also the dog on the back was glow in the dark

The theme was "Coastbusters" so we of course had to do the photo op

I rode this piece of wickedness so many times :goodvibes

These are a couple teenage goofballs from church we always take with us and they even take care of our four legged child while we are at Disney as repayment :lovestruc

And of course what kind of trip report would it be without a food picture..funnel cake with strawberries for me and fried cookie dough for the hubs.

I have been meaning to post these for the past week but the Dis seems to be misbehaving a lot lately

Last weekend we had a Cars 2 breakfast with a few of our cutie neices

The menu included: Bernoulli Bacon, Lightening Juice, Luigi wheels, Mater taters, and Holly Shiftwell Shifters (Smoky Links)

I also got all but one of the shirts done (they didn't have my size white shirt???)

Not really sure why the zebra Mickey is showing up pink but its actually white.

I hope everyone is having a great Father's Day weekend and getting all your Mickey plans in line!

So as we were looking at our ADR'S we realized a couple of options were really not making sense with our (ok more the hubbys!) insane touring plan :)

Sooooo.....
We changed our 11/12 Rainforest Cafe at AK ressie to a 7:50 50's Prime Cafe I kind of figured that way we are eating while they are herding the regular crowds out and we can go straight to riding afterwards.

And then we changed our Crystal Palace from 11/13 to 8:30 Rainforest Cafe at Downtown Disney we are planning to go to DTD on arrival day before heading to Magic Kingdom for the EMH since Touring Plans had Magic Kingdom as a 9.5 that day  but in case we arrive late we want a second DTD day just to shop and stroll (we are NOT going to tell hubby I'm already considering changing to TRex lol)

And of course two changes was not enough so...we decided to spend the evening of 11/15 at Epcot and we had already moved 50's to Monday so I made ressie at Via Napoli! I am actually excited for this one. Everyones pictures and reports are good and the menu actually looks like stuff Mr. Picky Hubby will eat :yay:

The only other change...SO FAR :goodvibes...is I changed Sci Fi from 1p to 11a on Saturday the 17th so we can leave early if we want.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

I'm joining and just read through the thread. So sorry for the adoption falling through but you have a great attitude. Love your T's they are adorable - don't tell your DH that! :) I can so relate to being an ADR changer... I don't think I'm satisified until I simply can't fit another one it or there are no more reservations available.

I look forward to reading more.

I told the hubby he could just deal with any crazy shirt I make him wear at Disney because I deal all year with him wearing IU, amusement park and crazy 80's movie shirts :) !

I hope everyone is having a great 4th of July!

This week we had a Lion King Movie night. My husband and I are really enjoying sitting down to watch all the neices and nephews movies without the persistent I wants, I needs, She has more, He's looking at me....etc lol!

The menu included: Elephant Graveyard Ribs, Timon Bug Surprise (Rice), Pumba Beans, & Savannah Juice
LionKing2.jpg

The tomatoes and cherries I didnt give a name to but hey they are GOOD!

On the trip planning front I am hearing rumors that free dining may be released in the next few weeks :woohoo: Now will everyone join me in praying to the Disney Gods :worship: I have been making the DH crazy asking why Mickey didn't love me enough to give me the FD pin everyone else going in November seemed to be getting so this puts some wind back in my planning sails! The dear sweet hubby even said last night hmmm maybe since Mickey made us wait for a general public offer he is saving all our Pixie dust for during the trip! And now you see why I'm married to this man :)

So after tonights movie night my Elvis loving hubby has a new favorite disney movie: Lilo & Stitch!

Funny little backstory Stitch was my first ever character photo last year but when we walked up Stitch looked at DH shirt and takes off running! The handler brings him back and DH explains that it is GHOSTbusters not Experiment 626 busters:rotfl2:

Now onto dinner ;)

Tonight we had Luau Pork, Island Rice, Hawiian Fruit Salad and well plain old salad too. On a side note did everyone else know that Sam's Club has Olive Garden Dressing? OMG that stuff is good!

See this happy DH?

I'm calling them "Wannabe Dole Floats" They were the perfect thing cause all week the temperature have been over 100 :scared1: And I have been seriously stressed out all week! Matter of fact I'm researching to see if clicking my Minnie Mouse flip flops together while chanting "Take me to Pop" will transport me to my happy place pixiedust:

Have a good weekend and stay cool Dis peeps!!

fun night! I should start to do those..i always say...but never find the time to organize them

They really are a lot of fun and since its just the hubs and I, make dinner pop in the movie and done!
Plus we are using movie nights as a countdown....18 movie nights to go! Doesn't that sound better than 127 days :goodvibes

Hi! I'm joining in... love your movie & themed dinner nights! So cute! My dh & dd (12) and I are going in November too. We'll be there November 11-17. I like how you are counting down by movie nights instead of days! Sounds so much closer that way! I think I need to try this! :thumbsup2

:welcome: I know our family members think we are crazy having movie nights as 2 adults but then again they can't understand going to Disney as adults either lol.

Check out this thread they have so many cool ideas if you decide to do the movie nights.

First off.....WE GOT FREE DINING!!!! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: Can you tell I'm excited? Well I am! It saved us a little over $300 after we paid to upgrade to the regular dining plan. :woohoo:

Now on to the topic of the day...Planning!

On travel day we are planning to leave at midnight. Yes I said midnight but the hubby works nights anyway so it will be pretty easy for him. Me on the other hand it will be a little difficult but hey if I'm heading to Disney I'm game!
We are planning to drive all day and get into Valdosta, Ga by 3ish. I found a really nice hotel right off 75 so thats where we are calling it a night.

On Saturday morning we plan to leave the hotel around 9am but in all seriousness I will totally be up a 6am ready to go! :hyper: DH has to stop at the Florida Welcome Center for his free OJ (it is seriously 15 minutes from our hotel and I will be quite :hyper: wanting to get to Disney so I wish him luck)

If all goes well we should be seeing this wonderful sight about noon
DSC00031.jpg

We plan to check in rest until around 5. If our room isn't ready when we arrive (which seeing as this is the end of Jersey Week I'm betting it won't be) we are gonna walk over and check out AOA.

After we are thoroughly rested and ready to start our adventure we will head off to start our Anniversary Adventure at Whispering Canyon Cafe. After dinner we are going to head to EMH at Magic Kingdom until 1am. And yes we will make it all the way to 1am because I am married to a commando and if there are rides to be ridden we will be there riding!! ::yes::

The biggest thing I must accomplish this first night.....DOLE WHIP FLOAT!!!
I dream of these things. I love them. No seriously I LOVE THEM! DH says his must do for Day 1 many many rides on the three mountains.

Busy days, but with a stop in Georgia you will get a nice rest.

Yay for free dining!
