Eguidestogo.com problems - live entertainment and menus for Palm

Hey,
Last time we headed to WDW I used eguidestogo.com for downloadable live entertainment and menus. I downloaded the current version of the files today from the web address I have, but the files are over 1 year old, even though his site says they are updated weekly. Did I do something wrong? I know that it worked before and that allearsnet.com's menus are more current than this. Help!!
Or has the owner stopped offering this service?

Hey, I usedit for our August trip with no problems, then updated it for our October trip, again, no problems.We had to cancel the day before due to a death in the family, when I tried to reload for November I could not access the updated files. I just ried to pull it up on my Palm and it is telling me that it's not supported. Hmmm, did you try emailing the guy that writes it? I had to before nad he contacted me back pretty promptly.

Strange, now I have an updated live entertainment schedule, but the most recent menus are dated 12/2005. At least it still works. I guess they haven't updated the menus. I'll find out.

Looks like menus are updated monthly, so 12/05 is pretty recent.

Yes, but the website (allearsnet) shows menus from 1/2006 and 2/2006. Also, there have been 2 "2nd Tues of the month by 12 noon PST" since 12/2005. I guess the download lags behind. I've sent an email.

BlueFairy, out of curiosity, do you use plucker or the other service? I am trying to reload plucker with no luck.

Blue Fairy, just reloaded and sync'd. The live entertainment is up to date, just not the menus

Emailed Andy and he said to try deleting the old file from your handheld before hot syncing the new file. The menus were updated on 2/3/06. So I did that. Still not working. I use iSilo.

Emailed Andy again:
"I'm able to see from the file information on the Palm (in iSilo) that it is the 2/3/06 version. I notice in the file itself that some menus are from last year, whereas on the website they are from 1/06 or 2/06 (like Cinderella's Royal Table for example). Perhaps these changes were made to the website after 2/3/06? There are many of them on the website. I'm sure this will be fine, but let me know if I have something wrong."

Here is his reply:
"You are correct! This is one of the difficulties in keeping the menus absolutely in-sync. I updated the downloadable menus in early February, but some of the menus changed after I made the update. I made my update on Feb 3, and the Cinderella's Royal Table changes were made Feb 6.
I'm really sorry for the inconvenience. When are you leaving for your trip?

I reloaded plucker and the eguide sites, no updated menus. Maybe just check the allearsnet site before leaving. I got the most use out of the live entertainment section, it helped me know when Off Kilter was playing. The menus section did help us narrow down our decisions though. Maybe it'll be up soon. I have found that sometimes it doesn't necesarily update on Tuesday like the site says though.
