Egg Allergy Help

Hi Everyone,

We recently learned that DS6 is allergic to eggs and now can't eat lots of foods like cookies, cakes, waffles, etc. We are heading to Disney November 30, and I was wondering if anyone knew of things I should avoid giving him. For example, I've heard the Mickey Ice Cream bars may have eggs in the ice cream. We also have a reservation at the Rose and Crown...does anyone know if they use egg in their fish and chips batter? He loves that, so if they do use egg, we will just cancel our plans there rather than torture him.

The CMs have made notes on our ADRs about his allergies (he's also severely allergic to shellfish) but if anyone has information about what to avoid in advance, that would be helpful. I hate offering him something, only to find out he can't have it because it contains eggs.

I do know you can contact restaurants that you are going to ahead of time and speak to the chef or his assistant to let them know of allergies to food and they will make special preparations to accomodate.

When you decide on restaurants and want to make your priority seatings, call (407) 939-3463 (WDW-DINE). Inform the reservations staff that you have allergies as you book your requests. They will provide you with the direct number for the restaurants you have chosen. Twenty-four hours before your scheduled dining time, call to speak to the chef. If they feel comfortable that they can meet your needs with what they have on hand, they will tell you to speak to the chef on duty when you arrive. Yet the twenty-four hours notice will give them time to prepare if they need it. Remind your server of your needs as you are seated.

Thanks, missymagic. We've made all our ADRs and we did flag all our reservations describing DS allergies, but we were only given the number for one restaurant. I guess I'll have to call them back for the others.

I am mostly concerned about Rose and Crown because if they use egg in their fish batter, I will cancel that reservation and make another one someplace else. Anyone know?
