I understand that both Soarin' and Toy Story Midway Mania had a recent expansion that added 50% capacity to each. Have people figured out yet what the impact of this is on both standby and fastpass times? Any chance that either of these is no longer going to be a "RD or FP+ if you don't want a >60 minute wait" ride?

I was curious about this too. I've been checking wait times for both attractions on and off, and they still seem high, especially Soarin'. Waiting for RD reports.

Soarin is still high because they are still only operating two of the three theaters. I was there last Friday and they were operating theaters B and C, but A was closed. I have heard rumors that once all three are operating that two will be dedicated to FP+ and one for standby - but of course we won't know for sure until it happens. That would definitely simplify the line, since they wouldn't have to have a merge point any more.

Percentages are a funny thing, if discussed.

If you have 2 theaters that hold, say, 50 guests, each (100, total,)
and you add a third theater that holds 50 guests, you could say that you have increased the capacity by 50%. (150, total.)

Then, if you have those 3 theaters that hold, say, 50 guests, each. (150, total.)
But, you don't use the third theater that holds 50 guests, you could say that you have decreased the capacity by 33%.

Josh did a pretty good post a few days ago.

I think that the real question about Soarin' will be what will happen when Anna and Elsa re-appear at Epcot later this month.

Yes...the big question! I think the majority of tier 1 FPs be for FEA, and this will increase Soarin' standby wait times. Pretty sure the third Soarin' theatre will open along with FEA.

Guests will also have to be aware of increased FP times if a track, specifically at TSMM yesterday, goes down.

For the time period that one track was down, FP wait time increased to 30 minutes while Standby was at 215.
