frog legs on the Food Network! And they look just.... like..... frog legs! Does anyone like these? I've never had them and I can guarantee you I never will! I've heard they taste like chicken. I admit I'm weird. If it looks like it used to look like when it was alive, no way will I be eating it. Anyone else out there like me or am I alone in my weirdness?

Oh oh, Where's Froggy in the ark? :rotfl: Froggy, froggy where are you? :rotfl2:

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Okay, now DH thinks I'm insane. I'm in the office and he hears me crack up over this post and he can't quite figure out what I'm doing. He just keeps asking "what's so funny? What are you doing in there?" Oh nothing DH. :rolleyes1 I'll never confess to what an obsessed Dis'er I am.

MMMM Frog legs are very tasty. They can be a little fishy tasting but they never tasted like chicken to me.

I like them. DH LOVES them!! He gets them whenever we are at a restaurant that serves them. Absolutely LOVES them.
I think they taste a bit like chicken.

Our local chinese buffet serves them, although under a different name very innocent sounding.

They also serve Phoenix chicken which is chicken feet!

Frog legs are the best tasting treat around...........my daddy and us kids..(hahaha) would go frogging at night and it was so much fun........you could hear the grummmpppppp grummmmppppp .....it was a ball.......then my daddy would shine the flashlight into the water and dangle a red flannel on a hook......and WHAMMMMMMMm we would have a froggie ........we had to have alot of frogs to feed us kids....six kids and a mama and a daddy and what fun we had.....those were the days :goodvibes

Omg, I don't which sounds less appetizing to me, chicken legs or chicken feet!? :crazy2: :confused3

I've had frog legs, but they were so breaded and fried, they just tasted like any other fried meat. Their little frog flippers were gone.

I have a hard time eating things that appear in their "living" form too though. Fear of fish served with their heads and tails on keeps me from ordering fish in restaurants. :scared:

Oh, no... this baby caught Froggyinark...let go, kid :rotfl2:

Oh I am JUST like you! No lobster, shrimp, crab, etc for me - ewwww. I just can't do it!

We used to have them when I was growing up. My dad would catch them and my mom would fry them up. He had to remember to cut the tendon or the leg would appear to still be alive and kicking. And you wonder why I'm vegetarian??? :rotfl:

One time my aunt, uncle, and cousins were visiting and we had frog legs. I took one bite and proclaimed, "I have a frog in my throat!". :rotfl: What a joker I am! :teeth: Pretty funny at the time, though.

I never went frogging, but I sure do remember the sound they would make and that awful looking frog catching thingy (I know it had a name--a gig, maybe?). It looked like some sort of torture device, and I suppose it was to the frog! Eeewwww, I could do without this discussion just before bedtime!

really no different then fishing in a pond for lake trout or salmon ..............hook and all

Except it wasn't a hook, it was a "grabber". Evil looking device! :rotfl:

This made me think of "The Muppet Movie" where poor Kermit the Frog spent much of the movie trying to escape Doc Hopper who wanted Kermit for his business, Doc Hopper's French Fried Frog's Legs.

After dissecting frogs for 7th grade biology class - I don't think I could ever eat one! :earseek:
