and I was so scared!! I kept wondering if there was a "replay" button or something so I could listen and see if I sounded like an idiot! It's been about 5 minutes since I left the vm and I'm still all shaky!

Oh yeah, I was nervous too.
My secret is just to leave silence for a few seconds if you think you sound too bad; it'll then prompt you if you want to send or re-record it (there was a third option as well, but it escapes me atm).
It took me about 3-4 tries before I chose the one that made me least sound like an idiot... so you are definitely not alone on the being apprehensive
Here's to hoping we get aired someday; or calm down enough to be understandable

I think you can just hit the star to cancel and record again...it usually takes me about 4 or 5 times before I can get through a voicemail without any mistakes (and that's while reading it off a paper!). I keep hoping that no one can hear us on the other end as the call is being placed -- if they can, it probably makes for some great entertainment!

Wow! I'm now realizing that I was totally unprepared. I knew what my question was but I didn't write down a script for myself or anything Maybe they'll play it purely for the funny entertainment value ...

I've been kicking around the idea of calling and even have written down a few "notes" so I wouldn't lose track of my thoughts, but haven't had the nerve to call yet!

I just left a voicemail! I'm sure I sounded like a complete idiot and I KNOW I had a lot of "ums" in there...hopefully if they decide to play it Pete can do his magic with the editing and I won't sound like a Total goof.

I seem to recall my first voicemail call was appropriately edited before being included. So, even if your message didn't go too well, I am sure it will sound fine.
