I've been doing all of the planning for a family trip of 12 and now my husband's stepbrother and his son are coming. We started out as 12, moved down to 11, back up to 12 and now we are 14!

We are staying at a grand villa at OKW so we will have to get another room. I'm looking into renting off the dvc board. Wish me luck!

I love a challenge, so I am actually happy about them coming.:cool1:

I could use some input about our ADRs. We are going Memorial Day Week. I have ADRs for 12 at

Chef Mickeys Dinner
Rose and Crown Dinner
Cinderella's Royal Table for lunch
Hollywood and Vine Fantasmic Package

I'm super worried about how to fix the dining to add 2. We are all on the dining plan. I don't want to give up CRT or H&V Fantasmic but could change the others. Do you think I should just check with each family and see if I can make seperate ADRs for them? Or should I try to keeps us altogether. The kids were excited about seeing Mickey on their first night. Also I am worried about availability.

For some reason 12 people didn't bother me but 14 is freaking me out.

BTW we are 4 related families: 5 adults, 2 seniors, 7 kids (ages 3-9).

I may cancel the Garden Grill later and try and get ADRs (splitting families up) for everyone. In the meantime here is what I just did.

Chef Mickey's had no ADRs available so we kept the 12 and added 2 at the same time for Concourse Steakhouse. We might have to draw straws to see who eats at Concourse. :)

Cancelled Rose and Crown and added Garden Grill for 14.

Cinderella stays for 12. My DH says he doesn't need to eat there. I am sure one of the other guys will bow out.

Hollywood and Vine Fantasmic for 14 but super early (3:30 :scared1: )

Wow! This is a lot of work and only you will know and appreciate the amount of effort it takes to put this all together. I hope you have talked with everyone for their input, rather than ours. No matter how well you put something like this together there will be situations that may cause conflict. I would definately finish the plans, but be prepared for others not to want to follow the plans 100%. I personally would make a claim of what you will do and not do during the actual trip, so you do not continue to be the tour director (complaint department) during your trip.

We've had one family meeting and will have another before we leave. I've had the best advice from people here on the DIS.

The group hasn't given me too much input on where to dine - just that they don't want to cook. :) That's why I have so many buffets. CRT is a must for most of the group and my husband is insisting on a Fantasmic Package. That only leaves two other table service meals. I think I may give them the option to eat on their own for the other table service meals and see what they think. ADRs might be a little tough, but WDW has so many options we should be okay.

I really don't mind being the tour director as this is my 3rd visit in 18 months. I just need to keep reminding myself that I will need to be flexible and not everyone is going to be as in love with disney as I am.
