Let me start by saying that there are only two mice in the world that I like, their names start with M, they wear red clothes, and they are the reason I found the DIS.
Second, I will truthfully state that (1) the only things I want in my house that are alive are people, DS's fish, and plants, and (2) I am a screamer. These facts, my firends, are why I am eternally grateful that it was my DH who got up first this morning,
went to the kitchen,
turned on the light,
and saw a mouse.
IN THE SINK!!!!!
It was trapped in there and couldn't climb up the sides to get out.
All I can say is that if it had been me downstairs first, then not only would my DH, DS, and DD been roused from slumber by the screams of a banshee, but without a doubt the neighbors on either side of me as well.
So, not only am I creeped out by the thought that a mouse was actually in my house, but it was on my countertop.
Needless to say, the kitchen got a good scrubdown first thing this morning.
(To those wondering the little beast's fate, DH scooped it up with a cup and let it out the back door before I even knew it had happened. DH is wonderful!)
