We have EE for a Thursday(EE opens 9) & Saturday (EE opens 8).

Should we arrive 15 min prior? 30 min prior? 60 min....

AND...

If we exhaust all Fantasyland rides we want on EE day 1, what might we try for on day 2?

Assuming this will be for your January trip, I'd say you only need to arrive about 15-20 minutes beforehand. It's off season and the crowds won't be huge.

If you ride all of the FL rides on the Thursday, and you still want to use EE on Saturday, I'd recommend (with your child's age), reriding your favorite FL rides and then taking in a couple Buzz rides. Also you and your DH can switch off riding Space while the other takes the kid on a ride.

If you really want to be daring, you can try and ride Nemo during your second EE. However, I'd probably show up at LEAST 30 minutes beforehand if that is your strategy. Sprint over to the entrance and you might be able to ride in about 30 minutes. After that you can take in a couple FL rides or a Buzz ride and then line up for normal rope drop.

I agree - but I will probably be lined up 30 minutes early on Saturday!!! (We will miss Thurs by a bit) Be sure that when you do the FL rides you hit Peter Pan first, and then anything else from there. I would try for Nemo on the 2nd EE day - then probably hit buzz. I never get sick though of riding rides with no wait - I am sure your kiddos will want to ride a few a couple of time!!!

Dizzyami- that's our plan too, PP 1st & Nemo on Day 2. I might see you there in the lines! Are you wearing your LGMH?

I don't have one - maybe I will try to trek out to Home Depot and pick me one up - but it is not that close!!!

DH is going to look at me crazy though if I start asking people in line if they are Magical Mom!!! Then again though, he has learned to just deal and not ask questions when it relates to Disney!!! :rotfl:

Hopefully we can get there early enough on Thursday for EE - we are leaving Wed night and staying somewhere - that kind of freaks me out a bit - but it was DH's idea - and since he is driving me there I figure I can't complain!!!

I agree with the above comments & on your plan. (& have the following thoughts):

- Since EE is later on Thurs. (meaning more folks can get up), I'd get there at 8:20. The difference in line (when were there 3 weeks ago) between 8:25 & 8:40 was us being 5th in our line vrs. the line halfway back to DCA. You want to be one of the FIRST on PP (imo). Plus being in line for EE is great....everyone is so nice & so pumped to be there.

- Eat BF & apply lotion in line. (to kill time)

- I'm sure you know the FL preferred tour:

- PP
- Dumbo
- Alice
- Matterhorn (if empty try both sides...we did & loved it).
- TeaCups/Toadie
- Snowy/Pinocchio/Carousel

Pick up your first FP at 10:01 (at Indy or SM)

Second day EE:

- Nemo (if on the first Sub you'll be off at 8:35-8:40)
- Buzz/SM (you can ride multiple times possibly) OR
- IASW OR
- the FL rides you want to ride again (but not PP...the line will be too long)

Pick up your first FP at 9:01 (at Indy / SM or BTMRR)

FWIW - DS & I rode Matterhorn twice & Buzz multiple times on our second EE days.......because......well because we like the Matterhorn & Buzz. :cool1:

Have fun! :thumbsup2

I agree with everything, except I'd flip the days. We really liked having done Nemo already, when we got to our second EE day. With vacations being over (I think, I forgot to look at your dates), even though EE is later the first day, I personally would figure there might be fewer people there, and I'd just head for Nemo. Even though we enjoyed the ride and did go on it again, there was a sense of happiness, having done it on our first day, first ride, and not *having to* deal with the lines again. :)

And yes you want to be one of the first for PP. This last trip we were supposed to be first, and it would have worked out, but we were heading through the castle and didn't notice that it was blocked off until we were right there! They were filming something in front, and it caused us to divert from our path far too late (so keep your eyes open for that sort of problem, and don't get right up on it before you notice), and although we were still well inside the building when we got in line, it was too long in line with a kid who for some bizarre reason was thinking he was afraid of PP. :confused3

We are driving - leaving Wednesday night and probably staying somewhere along the way. (It is 9-10 hours for us now!!!) :scared1: Then we will get up Thursday early - drive the rest of the way and be ready to go!!! :cool1:

Ignore the fact I am quoting myself :rolleyes1

Change of plan Magical Mom - we will be in line Thursday too for EE!!! I almost booked a hotel for the night in Blythe - but fearing CA traffic Thurs AM we decided to just drive straight through :scared1: - and maybe pull DD out of school a bit early :rolleyes1 so we are not arriving at 1am!!!
