Hi all,

We are leaving in about a week and I wanted to confirm what our particular options are for EE. We are staying at VGC. Do we have EE to CA every day of our stay? What about DL? EE means 7am these days, correct? We also do have a 3 day park ticket, well, a voucher right now. That would get us into DL early one day I believe, although if we have it through the resort, I would imagine it's easier to just show your room key? We will be there Monday-Wed. Hoping to go to CA on Monday, then the other days we are open.

Sorry but honestly the more I read, the more confused I get. I think I need somebody to just spell out to me what days I can go when and where for EE. :confused3

Thanks for your patience! :)

As long as you are staying at any DLR property and not off site, you may choose to do early entry /magi c our hour @ CA everyday until event ends Sept 13th! Your hopper tickets are only good for DL for the 1 magic early hour if staying OFF property.

Thank you! So, EE is 7am right now, with park open to general public at 8am, right?

What days can we get into DL early being hotel guests? I am surprised to hear that we can't use the early entry feature on our tickets if we ARE hotel guests.

Thanks for your help.

It is hard to "just spell out" something when Disney policies are changing so rapidly over the last 5 weeks. It is not like there is a dedicated person somewhere visiting DLR every day of the year and staying at the hotels to get updates. We have to piece together what happens based on DLR website and blog updates, reports from others who are there at DLR, and rumors from news sources.

The best info now is that just starting this past Monday (the 16th) onsite guests including DVC are allowed access to DL and DCA one hour early every day. This will apparently last until at least Sept 13.

I will be at the GCH myself in two days and suspect I will get the same info others have over the last week on this. If I hear anything different I will post it.

I don't mean to imply that "there is a dedicated person somewhere visiting DLR every day of the year and staying at the hotels to get updates." Just thinking that somebody just got back or is there now and can answer this fairly easily.

At this time early entry for hotel guest, hopper ticket holders & AP holders is 7am. EE is for ALL who I just had mentioned but with limits for just AP holders who must stick to their given schedule & hopper holders who who are staying OFF property. Only those who are staying @the Disney hotels can choose EITHER park to enjoy @ 7am! As I mentioned in another thread this event seems to have been better for Disney hotel guests than the others.

FROM ANOTHER RECENT THREAD I JUST POSTED TO:

Here now and EE is the best thing ever!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We had our first day in the parks today (Disneyland). We used our onsite hotel guest EE and accomplished so much in that first hour. Ether people don't know the rules have changed or they must aren't using it at DL....I'll find out tomorrow when we do CA.

It's really a great perk!

I believe this is due to blocked local AP's during the weekday (only Delux & Premium can attend AP EE right now) Weekends should be more of a crowd plus both days are good for CA if your a passholder & probably headed to Carsland. We will be staying @ VGC on Aug. 18th & as resort guests our park of CHOICE for EE will be CA for both weekend days & heading straight for RSR! We will join the AP crowd as they have no choice but we will! Our registered dates for AP EE's are this Friday the 20th for DL (have to wake up very early & drive 20 minutes away - hopefully it should be like a ghost town) then July 28th for CA. DELUX AP's are blocked on most Saturdays which is why I picked that date! My husband works all week & off on Fridays so there is no way to take advantage of the other 4 days into either parks even though you're only allowed 1 entry per park for the entire time it has been promoted. Thus the change to allow DLR guests this extra bonus into either parks for now. Once the block has been lifted for So Cal AP's you shall see more people during the weekday just before school starts. I think the EE Event has been better for DLR guest than AP holders but I will still take advantage of this as a fellow APer - having my cake and eating it too!! LOL!

Sorry I know you did not mean that. I was saying that you were frustrated with the lack of clarity but things are changing rapidly enough that it is hard to give clarity without someone at DLR full time to check things. Usually DLR is not like this but they are now because of so many new attractions policies in recent weeks - and the policies are changing as we speak.

Yes - understood. We could all use clarity. It's frustrating when you know it probably won't help to go to the DL website or call a CM because they often don't have the correct info so you don't know whether to rely on it or not. Yet I do understand that this is a new (and exciting) time for DLR so things are a little up in the air.

It's also a little difficult for me to keep track of what's going on being more of a WDW-gal...it's hard to keep up with some of the abbreviations, and of course to keep up with the different policies and practices in place at DL versus WDW.

To cap it off though I take it that I can get in early into any park on any day during this special period (meaning 7am) unless things change. I will go with that for my planning purposes. Thank you for the helpful info as always!

as Hydroguy mentioned earlier, Things keep changing so Now I READ THIS:
