EE question

I am making my way through Hydroguy's tips (So informative!!! cool1: ) And I had a question about EE mornings. We are hoping to stay at The Grand Californian and plan on purchasing City Passes. If I understand correctly guests of the DL resort hotels may use the EE on any day it is offered (Mon, Tues, Thu, and Sat) regardless of what type of ticket they have. Is that correct? And aside from the hotel we stay at, would the 3-day park hopper we get w/ the City Pass qualify us for one day of EE?
