:wave2: Self professed coaster wimp here. I have a question about the backwards, in the dark, portion of the ride. While going backwards are you going uphill, downhill, through a helix, etc. Can someone please give we the low down on this. I really want to go on EE, but I need to know about the backward portion. TIA

SPOILER!!!!!

The backwards portion is mostly downhill with a lot of turning. Sorry, that's the best I can describe it, or remember for that matter. It's also completely dark for most of the backwards portion. There is a slight uphill part when coming to a stop before you go forward again. As far as roller coasters go, I think it is very tame. Have fun :yay:

I loved EE, use to be a roller coaster wimp!! If you can handle Thunder Mountain you will be able to handle EE. My advice..relax and enjoy the ride. The dark part was not bad at all.

Backwards part freaked me out. Pitch black and goes on for quite a while. I felt a lot of pressure in my chest and it scared me. That said, there were six year olds going on it over and over again, so probably you shouldn't go by me.

Question for Webbie - You said if you can handle Big Thunder you can do EE. How about the reverse? I always wanted to try Big Thunder but was so terrified by EE that I haven't. It's that pressure in the chest thing that got me. Do you get that on Big Thunder?

I never experienced any pressure in my chest. How you describe it sounds like a very common symptom of anxiety. Hard to say if you will experience that feeling on BTMR. BTMR is all forwards, and nothing is completely dark, if that helps. Very mild coaster. :)

My DW is a stone cold roller coaster wimp, and she insisted on riding EE three times.

Except for the first run (when I had a killer hangover), they all were light duty. Good luck.

Could be except I wasn't the least bit afraid or anxious until I felt that. It was like being pushed back in my seat.

Yes pain in your chest on a ride sounds like anxiety. Anyway, BTMR. Is a kick in the pan. The worst part for me, is the clicking going up the hills. I cannot wait to go on everrest in Sept. I use to be a big ride wimp. But, after getting the nerve to go on a rollercoaster, with a 219 foot drop. I have become a fan of rollercoasters. I say go and enjoy. Anything in disney. Cant be that bad. Well maybe. Mission space. I will never do again.

I wish that were true for everyone! I can handle BTMRR, although when I got overly brave and tried to do it twice in a row, the second time was a time too much. But I can't do EE. I was really looking forward to going on it after all I'd heard, and I was sure it would be OK, but the whirly, whippy feeling made my stomach feel whirly, whippy, and that's not a good thing! But DH went on it and couldn't believe I thought it was too much. He sat next to a 6 year old who was going on it for the 5th time. At least that's what he told me just before he called me a "wimp".
