Do the busses run early enough for me to get from ASMo to MK on Sat., the 1st by the opening of EE?

Or is this another cab ride for me? :(

By the time I take all of these cabs, I will not be able to EAT! ;)

On EE days, the busses for the corresponding EE park do run early, so you shouldn't have a difficult time getting there by 7:15 or 7:30.

I will second Steve's answer. Did you get a great rate at the All-Stars, Tia? I thought maybe you were going to stay at the Swan or Dolphin.

Last year, I stayed at AsMu around Christmas. I remember that on my first day I arrived at MK around 7:15, by bus. By 7;30, I had already renewed my AP and was half way Main Street.

I have everyone in suspense, don't I? Myself included.

DH's guilt trip is working all too well on me. LOL :D

No biggy! I'll get my AP though! :D :D :D

Tia, I never had a problem getting to EE by bus.
For the DIS-CON breakfast I am planning on taking a cab (sharing with ElaineMarch); you can join us if you want - the more the merrier!!!
:bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

SandraB....thanks for the cab offer.....the more the cheaper too! :D :D :D

I'll let you know if I end up at the All Stars. :) :) :)

Just read somewhere else that EE is being suspended as of October 20th at all parks. :( I wonder how long this will last???

Cookie, that is interesting....let me find the e-mail that Disney sent me recently...

:::searching e-mails:::

Found It! Here is the e-mail that Disney just sent me 2 days ago after I e-mailed them and asked if the rumors of them suspending or ending EE mornings was true...

As you are aware, on specified nights, the Magic Kingdom Park remains open for
three additional hours exclusively for resort guests who have purchased and
redeemed special "Magic Kingdom E-Ride Nights" tickets (formerly "E-Ticket
Express").

The current E-Ride Nights schedule is as follows:

*** CUT AND PASTE DATES IN FROM INTRANET ***

(Please note: Dates beyond the current month are subject to change without
notice)

The nine attractions scheduled to operate during "Magic Kingdom E-Ride Nights"
are: Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Splash Mountain, Space Mountain, Buzz
Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin, The ExtraTERRORestrial Alien Encounter, Astro
Orbiter, The Timekeeper, and Country Bear Jamboree. Select dining and
merchandise locations will also be open.

Only Walt Disney World Resort guests who are using multi-day or annual passes
for admission to the theme parks are eligible to purchase and redeem "Magic
Kingdom E-Ride Nights" tickets. The cost is $12 plus tax, or $10 plus tax for
children ages 3 through 9. Tickets are limited, and may be obtained at resort
Front Desk/Guest Services locations on a first-come, first-served basis, up to
four days in advance.

Please note that the "Magic Kingdom E-Ride Nights" ticket does not provide
admission into the Magic Kingdom Park; it simply allows guests to remain in the
park for three extra hours. It must, therefore, be used in conjunction with the
admission media previously mentioned. Guests must exchange their "Magic Kingdom
E-Ride Nights" tickets for wristbands at locations inside the Magic Kingdom
Park.

For more information about this event, please inquire at your resort's Front

Did she/he ever really address my issue/question or did they just cut and paste the brochure?

I hope they continue EE day. :(

Tia,

Looks like she just cut/paste the brochure. I have my fingers crossed for EE.

I'm afraid you can cross your toes and fingers and everything else, the news doesn't look good!
Here is a report from Deb Will's site (www.wdwig.com).

Recent world events and the current economic climate have resulted in a number of changes and cutbacks at the Walt Disney World Resort.

The October 17th Orlando Sentinel reported that the opening of Disney's newest resort, Pop Century, has been delayed indefinitely.

The October 18th Orlando Sentinel confirmed what was reported yesterday, that Disney Entertainment is being reduced. The following shows will be closed two days per week: Hunchback of Notre Dame and Beauty and the Beast (Disney-MGM Studios) and Animal Kingdom's Flights Of Wonder and Pocahontas And Her Forest Friends.

Other *unconfirmed* changes:

-- More news comes on October 18th. The Yacht Club Galley restaurant (which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner) will close in the next week.

-- Steve Soares, Webmaster of WDW Live Entertainment (Unofficial pages.prodigy.net/stevesoares -or- schedule.at/wdw) follows up on the reports of 200 live entertainment Cast Members being released: The following entertainment has been cut from Epcot:

Norway Trunk Show and Cyranose de Bergerac (street comedies)

Alpine Trio (Germany), also no outside shows for the remaining group, Oktoberfest Musikanten.

Alfredo's Restaurant Performers (Italy)

The Houzali Troupe (Morocco)

The Pipes of Scotland/Nova Scotia (UK/Canada)

Mélodies de Paris (France)

Fiddlers Joy (Canada)

Schedules are also cut back on other performances.

--Surprise Mornings, also known as "Early Entry," which allows Disney resort guests to enter the various theme parks one hour before scheduled opening times, has been suspended indefinitely.

Although this change has been widely reported as taking effect on October 20, 2001, repeated calls to Central Reservations have not been able to confirm this. (This has now been confirmed by D. Wills.)

--The Halloween festivities scheduled to take place at Pleasure Island have reportedly been cancelled.

As reported here earlier, the Flame Tree Barbecue in Animal Kingdom is closed. We have also heard that another AK restaurant, Tusker House, has reduced hours, leaving the Pizzafari as the only restaurant open in Animal Kingdom until closing.

There is also a report out that some of the parks (Epcot and Animal Kingdom) will start opening an hour later starting next week. It just keeps getting worse!

James....Ouch!!! :( :( :( And to think that I've been sitting here all twisted up with crossed fingers and toes this week.......dagnabit!

Oh well, a business has got to do what a business has got to do. :( :( :(

I think I'll stay all twisted up ;) in hopes of this 'economical thing' to end SOON!!!

Thanks for that info. JamesD. :)

I just got an e-mail from Cathy, my DU travel agent, telling me about the suspension of EE. In her e-mail, she wrote that there will be "character caravans" to the resorts on selected days so the kids get a chance of meeting their favorite characters.

This is quite a bummer! I think that this will affect the timing of our fantasyland meet...

I think you're right about the Fantasyland meet Livia. :(

Marsha, I guess you'll need to add this to your long list of things to discuss with Linda upon her return. :( We can just meet later, but it will throw off the whole day. :(

Let me know if I can help.

This is quite a bummer! I love early mornings! You get so much more done early, especially in the off season when the hours are reduced anyway!

Let's all hope this is temporary and things improve. I feel like eeyore!

This is awfull..:( I just read Garden Grille is closed for breakfast now, and no more Hoop dee Doo! Of course, I am suppose to be going to the 5pm show of HDD on November 30th, and Garden Grille on December 3rd. I am also nervous about my 7:30 Cindy's ps.. even though they keep saying they will be honored. Are they going to run the buses and monorails for just us special castle people who have early ps's:rolleyes:

Lauren. :( 2 out of 3 ain't so good in this case. :( I'm sorry. I would keep checking your Cindy's PS...you make a valid point.
