My son will be in Orlando on a business trip next week and will only have one day to spend at WDW. He'd love to try EE, but if it's not open, he'd rather go to EPCOT than AK. He'll have a one-day no-hopping ticket, so he can't switch parks if he gets into AK and EE is closed for the day.

I know there's no guarantee, since the ride is in soft open, but I wonder if people who've been recently could tell me if EE's been open pretty consistently or only off and on.

Thanks!

Should be, they are showing it now as the number one attraction to see.

We rode EE just after opening yesterday. The line was so short that we were able to ride twice within a matter of ten minutes.

It was great! One of the best attractions at WDW. Our bus driver yesterday reports that attendance at AK is up since anouncing EE is open. Disney also has a comercial on most TV stations stating that the attraction is open.

Lines will certainly be long for this attraction when more people realize that it is open full time.

yes, it's been opened. One of the days we were there, the ride had broken down. It was closed for a little bit. Then re-opened.

:thumbsup2
I was able to ride it 10 times (seven of those is a row at the extra magic hours at night :teeth: ) We were there from Feb 10th to Feb 18th. It was closed for minor adjustments on Monday to Tuesday but that was annouced, I think my mother said that we received a phone message letting us know in advance that it would be closed.

The ride was great, one of the best rides from Disney in a while!

ENJOY!!!!

I wouldn't guarantee that though as the ride officially doens't open until April so there just might be a chance that it isn't open when you go there. I would ask a cast member first before entering the park if it is in fact open for that day or down for possible test and adjust.

Is fastpass available for EE during the soft opening-I've heard conflicting reports.

I've gone 3 different weekends and 3 different weekdays. Opened each of these so far. Fast passes were available each time too. They are running commercials on tv all the time for Florida residents to come and ride Expedition Everest. I can't imagine them running the commercials if they aren't having the ride open. There are billboards all over the local roads advertising EE too. Of course, it could be closed for a private party or engagement, as Disney does do this from time to time.

It's not officially open yet though. They are advertising ahead of time kind of like they did with stitch but it's called a "soft opening". Usually with Disney opening ride history I think they just want to be safe and say it's not officially open until April just in case they do need to close it and change anything or adjust. But, yes, I've seen those billboards and heard the commercials as well so it threw me for a loop.

Thanks so much! This is just the info I was looking for. Good idea about asking before he enters the park.
