A little background - I will be staying offsite, starting with a 5 day hopper, then upgrading to an AP as soon as I use my MM.

So my question is should I not start days at CA that have EE? Will that park be more crowded because of the EE folks? Or does everyone staying offsite, including locals use that strategy, thereby making DL more crowded in the morning? And the same for the reverse too, should I not start my days in DL that have MMs (except for the day I use mine), because the park is already crowded with MM folks. I hope this makes sense!

Any experience or advice?

Thanks as always!!

Anybody? Surely there is a strategy all you experts use :thumbsup2

(and don't call me Shirley) :lmao:

In terms of DCA, I think it really depends on what you want to do; primarily, do you plan to ride TSMM and/or RSR? I generally plan to go to DCA at opening on non-EMH mornings. I head straight to TSMM and then go back and get an RSR FP (mid-to-late afternoon return time usually). You could probably get in multiple TSMM rides before getting the RSR FP if you wanted. TSMM's line usually builds up and there is no FP option for that ride, so riding it early is usually ideal.

In general, I think EMH/MM affects the opening line lengths at the most popular rides (e.g., Peter Pan, Space Mountain, RSR, TSMM), but does not have a long lasting effect on the park.

Bump for anyone else with a strategy for MM/EE park picks?

I agree with figment_jii. We were there on a busy summer Saturday and did not have EE or MM. So, we went to DCA at the regular opening time when DL had their EE. The turnstiles for DL were still crazy about 45 minutes after opening early but we walked right into DCA about 15 mins before the opening time to wait at the rope. We moved quicly to TSMM and then went over to get a RSR FP for 11:10 - 12:10. Worked out very well. And the park was not crowded at all until about noon.

Definitely start at the park that does not have EMH if at all possible.

I've been tossing staying on site for the EMH benefits but now I think it would be better to stay off site and do the park that doesn't have EM. Cheaper too.
