DH and I went to Disney this weekend, with our only goal being to try out Expedition Everest early and often. And we did exactly that! I'd say riding 5 times before 11:30am is pretty good (or crazy, you pick!). For anyone who's interested, here' what we did.

We made an 8AM ADR at Donald's Breakfastosaurus. After a very nice breakfast, we exited the restaurant at about 8:40. We headed over to the rope in Dinoland and chatted for a few minutes with the CM. They then dropped that rope and we we off. We took a left through Dinoland to just past the old Tarzan Rocks theater and were met by 2 CM's with another rope. They had to wait until the front of the park people caught up a little bit. Just a brief wait there and the CMs walked us and the rope over to Everest. While we did wait for the Asia crowd to catch up, there were two great things about this route. Most people don't seem to come this way. There was a pretty small group going in our direction. Also, the CM's took the Dinoland people through the Fast Pass line. So it was a very brief walk through the queue and we were on the first train in the front. It was awesome.

After our first ride, we got off and got a set of fast passes with a return time of 9:45. The standby line was a decent size by then, it said 30 minutes. So we headed to Dinosaur and Primeval Whirl (no wait on either). After that we headed back to EE. Since we could get new passes at 9:50, we got fast passes for EE again, with a return time of 11:05, and then used our original Fast Passes to ride with almost no wait again. We then headed toward Africa, stopping to get a frozen chai on the way, and checked out the gorillas on the back side of the Pangani trail. Then back to Everest at about 10:30. We decided to get into the single rider's lane, and were on the ride again in about 5 minutes. We still had some time to kill before our FP, so we Single Rider'ed again, but this time with about a 15 minute wait. Finally, we used our last 11:05 FP's to ride together one last time. This time we asked to sit in the front car, and we put into a short line to wait for that. We only wait for 2 extra trains, which is very quick since the ride loads so quickly.

I know so people might think it's a crazy schedule, but we loved every minute of it!! And it shows that with the right strategy, you can get onto EE ealry and often.

Thanks, our breakfast is for 8:20 so we will likely have to wait a bit but hopefully not too long!

We had a Donald's breakfast at 8:20, just my son and I. We were out by 8:55, and just as Skwinkles described, we followed the CM's. When we left dinoland people were almost running, but then there was the rope at the bridge. We were also the first in and in the front row.

Thank you for posting this info. I have Donald's scheduled next Tues at 8:10 just so we can get in the park, eat and be ready to hop on Everest! Glad to know it worked out!

Skwinkles: is it possible to get to the Dinoland rope without being let in for Breakfastosaurus? Or does everyone else have to wait at Asia?

Thanks much and be well!

I'm almost positive that you can head toward DinoLand instead of over to Asia. You must be able to head that way since Dinosaur and Primeval Whirl, etc are also open. I think most people just tend to follow the crowd and that's why most go through Asia.

Thanks for the great strategy! Definetly want to do it a million times in the morning like you did! :cool1:

Just back, on Saturday morning we rode it 5 times between 9am and 10am. At opening we went right to EE, got fastpasses for 9:55, then waited in line for about 10 minutes, we both then used the single line rider 3 times and by that time our fastpass was ready to use
AWESOME RIDE!!!!!

Within 30 minutes on Sunday May 21! :cool1: I got to the park at 8:35am and the front gates opened at 8:50am! Walked thru Asia, and was met at the "Stand By Line" sign, and waited 10 minutes. :thumbsup2 I was through with both trips at 9:30am! Went over the bridge to exit area.

We headed over to the rope in Dinoland and chatted for a few minutes with the CM. They then dropped that rope and we we off. We took a left through Dinoland to just past the old Tarzan Rocks theater and were met by 2 CM's with another rope.

Was this on Saturday 5/19? If so, we saw you guys! We also had ADRs early at Donald's. I was the platinum blonde girl in the pink top and jean shorts standing by the Dinoland rope with you and your DH. Then DBF and I were right behind you at the Asia rope. We saw you guys talking to the CMs at both ropes.

I guess it is a "small world after all"!! :goodvibes

Thanks for the info! We can't wait to try this strategy for EE in Spetember. We have an 8:10 ADR at Donald's and we will head for EE right after!
