Since our last visit in 2007, DD has become a coaster fan....me, not so much. DD and DH will want to ride EE for sure. I would love to see the queue, but do not want to ride (seriously, I hate big drops). Where is the chicken exit on EE? Is it worth going through the line with them, or should I just head off on a photo expedition of my own?

You may exit ANY attraction at WDW after walking through the queue,
without boarding and riding the attraction.

This goes for everything from Winnie the Pooh and Dumbo up to Space Mountain, Tower of Terror,
and Expedition Everest.

Just tell the "loading CM" that you decided not to ride.

It's no big deal at all.

The more involving/interesting queues at WDW are:

Pirates of the Caribbean
Tower of Terror
Rock'nRollercoaster
Expedition Everest
Its Tough to Be a Bug
Dinosaur
Test Track

And the PRE-shows to the following can be fun by themselves:
MuppetVision 3D
American Adventure ("Voices of Liberty")
Ellen's Energy Adventure

The actual que is really neat...Lots of artifacts from the Himalayns (sorry sp).. The exiting riders exit on the same side as the loading riders (they just exit then the carriage moves forward to pick up the loading riders).. Just tell the Cm you dont want to ride and I am sure he will tell you were to go on the platform... Did you know that there is a lounge in space mountain? We do this all the time DD wants to ride and I dont so we tell the cm as we are getting ready to board and they escort us to the lounge to wait...
Have fun!

I think EE has one of the best queues as far as story line & building up to the ride. I would go thru it once just for that.

I love the Appletinis.

Oh, wait... that'll happen NEXT year. ;)

There is an exit (like everyone else has stated) but the drop is really not bad on EE at all. If you've been on Splash Mountain, it's less steep than that one (and shorter I do believe).

It's not the drop that's the freaky part. It's going backwards in the dark. Going in reverse + the G forces does a terrible number on my vertigo. So now I go thru the queue with DH and take the chicken exit while he rides. This way we're both happy.

Yeah, I'm not going on that, either. I hate, hate, hate that 'flying out of your seat' feeling, especially when at any sort of height off the ground. I don't mind speed, or twirling, or going upside down, or twirling upside down while going fast :). Just don't make me feel like I'm going to fly up into the air. I crossed all log rides off my list years ago. I have every intention, however, of going on (almost) everything else!

EE has a fantastic queue! I see many go though and not get on the roller coaster, and what a testament that is to Disney for making the attractions much more than a ride!

:goodvibes
