We are going to Universal May 25th and 26th. The current park hours are 9-9 with EE only at IOA. In your experience, will any of this change? If so, when?

Change is always possible

Just check the website to see if I turn changes

Quick access link sticky will reflect any changes when it happens

Usually what is listed will not change
But.....always the possibility is a small %

IOA has generally been the only EE park the last several years we have gone around the exact same timeframe you mention. I don't expect it to change.

Yep, I agree. Been there each year, same timeframe (will be there May 23rd-26th, this year), for a decade, and it is always IOA.

Studios seem to get EE when there are reduced park hours

for example during halloween season, when HHN is on, Studios get EE on the HHN days, and IoA gets EE on the non-HHN days

When I go it is always the studios that has EE

I can't say for years, but I noticed that when I've been going to the park with my AP for the past year it is always been Universal, however, the two times it was IoA, it was when it was transitioning spring / summer time & during the summer last year. I've only noticed it a couple of times, because I try to ignore the summer time as it's too hot for me. I only went a couple of times in the summer due to trying to catch Kong during it's soft opening. During peak season in the holidays both parks were open for EE.

This will burst some theories.. lol

Been at UO when the night prior hotels announced that both parks will be open for EE

And it was not during the hot summer months

It can always change like others previously said. Was it during peak times? As I've noticed that usually when the parks are busy, it's when that happens. It doesn't have to be the hot summer months.

Never

When I said peek time referring to the summer high crowds and holidays

Some weekends are very busy such as what you said, Columbus Day weekend

We are going at the same time, and I am assuming EE only at IOA. EE was only at IOA for March Spring Break 2015; however, Spring Break 2016 it was at USF. The was closer to Easter, so it was busier than the previous year. Last July, EE was at both parks, and it started at 7am. I don't think Memorial Day weekend is considered as busy as later into the summer. However, with Volcano Bay opening, it could be busier than a normal Memorial Day Weekend.

I know

You're the fun dude!

And I still have the picture to prove that
Lol
I know you do! You should see some from our last trip with the bluers....still managed to stay out of trouble. Anyway, back on topic.

So, I think we can close this thread with a complete understanding that it could be either, both or neither...YMMV...check the calendar for EE updates.8-)
