EE at Animal Kingdom

Has anyone been at the AK for EE at opening recently? How were the crowds? Thinking of doing EE at AK next Monday. What time should I plan on being at the resort bus stop (we'll be at BWV) in order to get there in time for the Awakening? Thanks!

We were there September 13th for the EE at AK. It's tough to use this particular
day as a barometer for crowds, since this is when Ivan was lurking and there were
several trip cancellations. Having said that; we've been to several EE's at AK in the past and the crowds are moderate at
best. AK is deceiving for crowds since the
entrance walkways are more narrow and tree lined then the other parks.

My advice would be to check it out, plan on arriving 10 - 15 minutes prior to 8:00 AM. This means being at the BW bus stop
around 7:15. BW is the last stop prior ro AK, so travel time is 10 - 15 minutes.
