EE and the Safari Ride

Question for anyone who has done EE at AK -

RE: Safari ride - I have heard you get to see more animals earlier in the day - is this accurate?

We LOVE this ride, but have had very limited animal viewing on it on previous trips. I was wondering if it is worth our time to go EE when there in Sep to see more animals.

We have always had great experiences on this ride during EMH/EE. We always make it to AK as early as possible to go on this ride first thing. Depending on the time of year - when it gets really hot late in the day, many animals are likely napping somewhere in the shade. I believe we rode this once in the late afternoon & definitely didn't see as many animals. The exception to this would be on a cool, rainy day in December we went on this ride & many animals were playing in the rain! It was great!

I saw more animals during EE than any other time too. And its still nice and cool outside, very enjoyable.
