Education Credits for 2010

We have 2 in college this year for the first time. How do the education credits work? Do we get them for each child? I sure hope so!!!

I just looked this up because I was wondering myself. There are a few different ones, a credit and a deduction. We have one in college and without really doing our taxes the credit looks like what we will use. It is for up to $4000 in college expenses-books, tuition, etc. http://www.finaid.org/otheraid/hopescholarship.phtml

Thanks for the link...It looks like it could be used for both. We used the credit in the past for our oldest.
