ed, farrah and michael

well, no one I would guess, but they are hopefully at peace and all were awesome contributors to the entertainment industry...each in their own way. They will be missed by me.

My mother has always said that bad things happen in 3's. Thus far in my life I have found that to be strangely true all too often. Therefore when 2 bad things happen in close succession I always am waiting for the 3rd.

They seem to happen in 3's. I just thought #3 would have been Ted Kennedy.

My MIL does the same thing...
only she was counting David Carridine, Ed M. and Farrah....

I hit a deer with DH's car, my vehicle was stolen and my mother had a heart attack....all in the same week.

When Ed McMahon died, we were talking at work, about it coming in threes. I made the comment that Farrah would probably be next, and that the third would be someone shocking.

Wow, This IS shocking.

Very sad that Ed had such a troubled last few years with the financial issues, and can't think of anyone more troubled than Jackson. Farrah lost a long long battle, and died without the comfort of her son. Just all very sad:sad1:

Everyone, LEGENDS, in the real sense. :sad2:

5 years ago we lost my FIL, his sister and his brothers widow all within about a month. That was tough!

My thoughts and prayers are with all these families, especially with the children of MJ ( I lost my Mom when I was 5 and Dad wasn't in the picture, I was raised by grandparents) and Farrahs son who did not get to be with her near the end.

It has been a very sad couple of days. Each person lost was a celebrity for their different talents. Now Walter Cronkite's family has stated that he is gravely ill and not expected to recover. So much talent lost. I hope that there is peace for each of them & we will all remember them for their gifts they shared with us.

was really sad with farrah.. then heard about ed... and NOW with MJ... am OMG... like a bit of my childHood is gone........

I was swimming at my friend's pool with my daughters today and as we got out of the pool and sat in the son, I said to my friend, "I'm so sad about Farrah," and she replied that Ed McMahon had died yesterday. I said, "Someone else will die soon," and she mentioned how people always die in threes.

I pick up my Blackberry and cnn comes up and says MJ had been rushed to the hospital with cardiac arrest. He was still alive at that point, but it was still kinda chilling. Very sad.

That's how I feel too. The big names from my childhood/teen years are starting to disappear. Makes me feel old and question the way I go about life a little bit more. I need to take a little more time to enjoy the people and things around me. Kind of hits home that no one is guaranteed another day..or even another minute.

They seem to happen in 3's. I just thought #3 would have been Ted Kennedy.

That idea has been bantered around for years. Since there is no established time lines for the three to be counted we usually just adjust it to include three and then wait for the next three. That could start tomorrow with Ted (sick) and Walter (sick) and a player to be named later, who knows.

Ed and Farrah I was expecting. Michael is quite a surprise to me. The older ones like Ed or Walter or even Ted should not be much of a surprise cause even if they weren't sick already they are (were) up there in years and therefore it wouldn't be unusual to hear of their passing.

Condolences to their families and I hope they have gone on to a better place.
