Has anyone had a problem taking their ECV onboard the watercraft going from BW to Epcot/HS ? We'll be staying at BW and I've read that sometimes water levels prevent ECVs from boarding the watercraft. Does this happen very often? Thanks!

That only happens when the water level is too low and doesn't happen that often.

The Epcot rental ones have a low bumper that can make it impossible for them to use the Friendship boats across the World Showcase Lagoon. This is because the angle of the ramp on the dock is steep and the bumpers hit

Thank you SueM but I am more worried about the boats that take you from
the back gate of Epcot to BW and the various places on Crescent Lake (also to the HS). I will be renting a scooter from an off-property company, not sure which one yet. This will be my first time using a scooter at WDW, so am just a little nervous about being able to use the watercraft transportation on Crescent Lake. Thanks - if anyone has regularly taken their ECV from BW on the boats, would still like to hear your experiences. :thumbsup2

I should have been more clear.

Those are the ECV issues - the World Showcase Lagoon boats and the Epcot rental ECVs.
Other ECVs and and other boats, including the ones from BW and Epcot/the Studios are not an issue.
The issue for the Epcot ones is that the docks are already down a hill and the rental ECVs have a low bumper.
This is a picture of the park rental ones:

This company, Scooterbugg rents scooters and also provides the park rental ones. The scooters they rent have a higher bumper than most of the ones they provide for the parks. Other ECVs don’t have a low bumper like the park rental ones and are not an issue.

Don’t know if this picture link will work, but you can see the photo on the website:

I rent a Go-go scooter and have gotten it on and off the boat
from Yacht Club to EPCOT and DHS with no difficulty. The small size makes it easier to get it in and out of the designated area on the boats.

I had no problems in February going to HS.
For Epcot, I just drove the ECV from BWV.

Thank you, everybody, for your responses. You've helped me feel more confident that I'll be ok taking the boat with an ECV. If anybody has other comments about using an ECV on the boats to/from BW, or about using an ECV at BW in general, I'd love to hear them, thanks! :tigger:

1) Frequently you cannot get on the boat with and ECV or wheelchair.
2) For the most part, there is room for a total of four (4) chairs and/or ECV's.
3) If others are on board before you, you might have to wait for the next boat.
4) This could be 20-25 minutes.

NOTE: This holds true for Friendship Boats inside Epcot, Epcot Resort Area,
(from Epcot to hotels/HS), Fort Wilderness-to-MK.
