ECVs and wheelchairs at Disney.....how about umbrella or sunshade?

We also use a wide-brimmed sun protective hat and sun protective clothing: long sleeves with hoodie, long pants, partial gloves, sunglasses. I am actually *cooler* dressed that way than in shorts and a tshirt. And I can be much less concerned about the sun, plus wear a lot less sunscreen.

I'm just the opposite. I also wear sun clothing, long sleeves, hats, long pants. But I really want to wear tank tops and shorts. Damn lupus.

Universal does offer ECV with canopies at their parks. I used one of them the last time I went. NEVER again. It blocked my vision when trying to see what was behind me (either to back up or "change lanes"). It did nothing to block the sun either. I also got stuck on some low hanging branches.

Now I just use sun clothing from solartex.com. They have plus sizes which is great! My latest trip to Disney in June, I wore a long-sleeve sun shirt with a disney shirt over it, sun-gloves, a sun hat, and long light weight pants. I never felt over heated.

I think most of the approval was that there ECV are not bigger then what Disney wants and such things.
It was quite a bit more than that.
I talked to several of the companies about the process at the time that the applications were bring processed.
Some companies chose not to apply - Randy’s was one that did not apply. They preferred to keep delivering directly to their customers.
