Mods please move if necessary. Does anyone know if they allow ECV's on any of the tours. I would love to take a tour but have to use a Ecv. T:)hanks for any help you can give me:)

of course it depends on the tour in question, but i'm not aware of any walking tour that doesn't allow for it.

You may also want to post this on the disabilities board. They are extremely helpful over there.

There were a couple of people in ECVs on our Keys to the Kingdom tour- the only points where it was even remotely an issue were when we rode Jungle Cruise (had to wait for the right boat) and loading for Haunted Mansion (again, had to wait on the right Doombuggies). They weren't a problem at all.

Same here. There was no problem on KTTK.

I have been on many WDW tours. All are accessible. For some of them a persdon in a wheelchair or ECV might have to use a different entrance than everybody else, but they will make accommodations.

Another thing. Legally you do not have to let them know in advance of special needs. However, if you do let them know they will be ready and, for example, will have sufficient transportations for all in wheelchairs and/or ECVs on that particular tour.

I would say let them know in advance. We did the Backstage Safari with DD, who uses a wheelchair. For part of the tour you had to ride in a big van, and they had one with a wheelchair lift for DD.

If you attempt to take a Service Dog on the Backstage Safari tour (the one with the tour of the area where they prepare the animals' food) they will fuss and make you kennel (at no expense) your dog before the tour starts. I didn't tell them Cash would be with me and I hadn't planned to take my ECV but they somehow learned about him and tracked me down at AKL the night before and refused to let him accompany me on the tour. I'm still not sure how I feel about it (I don't remember now how I got around on the tour without him either)...I didn't see any place on the tour where cross contamination of feed could happen, which is the reason they gave for incarcerating him, but we did get within petting distance of a white rhino...:scared1:
