When I made ADRs for our October trip, I completely overlooked the fact that my husband will be using an ECV (it will be our second trip renting a scooter.) I made an ADR for breakfast at Kouzina, then realized that transportation will be an issue. We are staying at Old Key West, and I just figured we would take a taxi to Boardwalk..oops, forgot about the ECV. Does anyone have any idea what my options will be? I will be before 9:00 am.

Why not take the taxi? There are taxis that have ramps into the back to load an ECV. Call Mears and request a wheelchair accessible taxi and emphasize that the mobility vehicle being transported is an ECV and not a fold-up wheelchair. The cost isn't greater for an accessible taxi...

Most of the rental ECVs break down to five or six parts and can fit in the trunk of a car or taxi. IT only takes a couple of minutes to break it down and store it or to put it back together again.

If you go the taxi route, make sure it has a ramp. We tired to make an ADR early one morning and missed it because they didn't bring a taxi with a ramp.

is your husband able to walk any distance at all? (for me, a block or two is ok, but after that I am done--no parks all day for my knees and feet!). If he can walk a short distance, I would take the taxi without the ECV, go early and take my time meandering through the Boardwalk Inn to get to Kouzzina--it's not too far from where you come down the elevator. (Around the corner past Flying Fish and the bakery.)

If he cannot walk that far, then can you do a lunch ADR instead? That way you could take an Epcot bus with the ECV and walk on over to the Boardwalk.

If you are comfortable pushing your husband in a manual chair for that distance, OKW has a few manual chairs that they can loan for free. They are first come first served, but you could fold it for for the taxi ride to/from and use it for breakfast. Then return it to the OKW front desk.

Really not a problem even with Disney transportation. Take a bus to DHS (they start at 7am), then walk/roll or boat over to the Boardwalk.

Thanks for all the great responses. I knew I would get resolution here!!
