ECVs and Disney busses

Hi. My family is going in March with my parents and we'll be renting an ECV from somewhere off site, for my mom. I was just reading the disabilities section here on the DIS, it says that some ECVs are too wide for the bus lifts. Is this a question I have to ask of the ECV rental place? Or are they a standard size? Thanks.

The rental companies have pretty standard sized ECVs. They know where you are staying and will provide with an ECV accordingly. Should not have a problem fitting on the lift.

I have not heard of anyone having a problem with the rental ecvs. The companies realize that many will be using WDW transportation and they would buy them with that in mind. It wouldn't hurt to just mention you'll be using the buses, but you probably don't absolutley need to. Some people have had problems with their own personal evcs which may be longer or wider.
