ECV / Wheelchairs on Disney Train

I was wondering if the Train or other inpark transportation are accessible?

I want to go on the train and get off at other areas, can I do this with my ecv?

There will be 2 in ecv's and family of 8.... we don't want to miss anything, including the train ride and trollies, etc.

Actually they are ECV accessable.
I rode the train around MK and AK using my ECV..

Sometimes when there have been a number of w/c users and I've been in a folding chair, I've been asked if I can transfer into one of the seats and fold the chair up next to me, to save the wheel on spaces. Obviously you can't do that with an ECV (a folding ECV, now there's an idea..... ) but one thing you could do if it were a busy day and there wasn't room, would be to park up at a station, then ride all the way around and get off again at the same place. Just an idea.

wow... that's terrific of you all... i had no idea and felt funny asking ..... but i was curious. We always miss this ride because they don't want to leave me behind... They wanted to get on the train this time first thing, and ride to toontown for the little ones. ... I'll ask guest services when I get there... OH.... can't wait, March ... march on. lol Thanks all

There is space, I'm not sure if it is for one or two, for wheelchairs and ECVs on each train at the very front. Since the stations are accessible, the trains also are.

The official WDW Guidebook for Guests with Disabilities does list the train as an attraction where ECVs users need to transfer to a wheelchair. I have heard people besides Haley Whippet say they have gone on the train in their ECVs and when we were at WDW around New Years, we were waiting to ride with someone using an ECV. She did leave it at the station, but the conductor said she could bring it aboard if she wanted to.
I believe whether or not you can ride the train depends on the ECV you are using. If you are using one of the VERY large park rental ECVs, you won;t be able to. if you have a smaller, more manouverable one, you will.

How many there is space for depends on the size of the wheelchairs/ECVs. The front car has a bench facing toward the rear, but opposite that bench is an empty space for wheelchairs/ECVs. Sometimes they can fit 2; sometimes 3. It depends on how big they are and how well the people using them are able to manouver close together.

My ECV is small and very maneuverable.
I rented this REVO Scooter and liked the style so much I chose that kind to buy.

When we went in November we sat at the front with DS's w/c. Next to Alex for part of the ride anyway was a lady in a ECV. The only thing they asked of us is to let them know ahead of time when we wanted to get off. We actually really enjoyed the trip on the train and rode it from Toon town all the way back around and then stopped over by Splash Mountain.

I apoligize for the misinformation. i was only going by what the CM told me last summer when i tried to ride the train with the ECV I rented from MK. I wish I had known since i spent 15 minutes braving the torrential downpour to meet my DD and DM in Adventureland.

Well, you were right.
It was not accessible for the ECV that you were using.

I was going to try the strategy you mentioned (getting on the train around park opening and riding to Toontown) but when I got to the train station, they said only one train runs when the park first opens and it was going to be about 20 minutes before the next one. So we decided to meet up with the rest of our family and ride the train later.

Yep, those Disney World ECV's are HUGE!
I got run over by one last year, OUCH!

I own my own ECV and have never been allowed to take it on the train, we must ALWAYS ride round trip....
