Do you take it in the villas each night? I have a friend using one, and when we went before, we were staying at Boardwalk, so driving it inside the room was no problem. In December, we are at OKW, and I just thought about it - we will have outside entrances. So what do others do? Thanks

DH uses a ECV - and when we stay at OKW we always request a ground floor unit for medical reasons. I make the request at the time of booking, and the front desk has always been very accommodating about making sure our needs are met. Have a great trip!!!!

Same here. We have never had a problem.

Most people do take them inside their units. If you do happen to be stuck on an upper floor, you can leave the ECV in Papa's Den (the "library" area nex to check-in) for charging. I've also occasionally seen some ECVs left outside studios on the ground floor for charging. There is an outlet outside the entry door to your unit.

I think overall, there is very little chance you'd have an upstairs unit

Thanks to all who posted. We have a GV, a 2BR and a studio booked. The studio I added on in case we don't get an elevator building. I was told that ALL of the GV have second floor entries, meaning up one flight of stairs outside. I forgot to request an elevator building on the first day when I did my day by day ressies, and when I did remember (on the fourth day of calling), the agent said the elevator buildings were already promised. I am on a wait list for one. I really hope one comes through before the 30-day mark, because if it does, I can cancel the studio. I was mainly concerned also about where to plug it in, if we must leave it outside, but knowing there is an outlet outside relieves my mind. Thanks!

There is also one GV at OKW that is accessible on the ground floor, somewhere in the 40s buildings. You might call member services back, and ask to be transferred to special needs. Unless already spoken for, Special Needs can block specific accessible rooms at the resort for you, but with only 2 accessible GVs at OKW, they may already be booked.

We have had ECVs at OKW several times, and have always requested and gotten a ground floor room for those instances. As Chuck said, you can also plug it in in Papa's Den if you happen to not get an elevator building. In the GV, the best plug in places are the living room or the laundry room. I believe there is also a good spot in the entry area near the stairs.

It's in building 48.
My best guess is that it is probably already booked/blocked (since MS already knew the GVs in the elevator building were spoken for and said all GVs had 2nd floor entry.
